My friends (and random people) are always touching my hair! Most times there like super careful like it's gonna break and they gently barely touch it and others just like run their fingers through it saying that it's "too clumpy". That annoys me because that's how it's supposed to be! They also say my hair is too crunchy.

My friends are always wanting to play with my curls - they're very springy and I can see how they'd be fun to pull. I usually let them get away with it, but after two or three curls, they know to stop. :P

haha, same! And they start playing this 'game'. they put their pinky finger in one of thecurls and stuff. -.-

Anyway, i've noticed this pretty much big-ers my hair so i just start acting so annoyed when they touch it :P

Now.. they just got it. DONT TOUCH.

OH, and i used to tie it in a messy bun when they completly ruin the shape of my curls.

omg, ALL the time lol. Whenever i go to my cousin's house she constantly tugs on my hair (she says it's like a slinky). and most of the time when i go somewhere people always ask to touch my hair O_o
in Dec. when i was at a furniture store this man freaked out when he saw my hair (it was in pretty ringlets that day :o) he said it was like seeing someone straight out of a princess movie, and then he asked to touch my hair. ahhh hahahahaha, i will NEVER forget that day lol..

Mhm. So. Many. People. Every. Single. Day.

There's only one other kid besides me in my entire school with 4_ hair, and it's a guy in my grade. So, when people meet me for the first time, chances are by the end of the meeting they'll have asked to touch my hair, or just touch it without asking. It's gotten to the point where I'm walking in the hallways, and this guy yells, "STOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!!!!!!!" runs up to me, practically slamming into me, gropes my hair/head a few times, and walks off. I've met him a couple times, but I don't think he even remembers my name xD. That was an interesting day.

& when I hug one of my best friends every day, he always has to touch my hair a few times, and gets a ridiculously happy/fascinated look in his face. It's adorable.

my school friends always try to "boing" my curls. I'll let them do a couple, but then I start wincing because I know my hair will get frizzy, and they get the idea. Once, a friend raked her fingers through my hair. I could practically hear the curls screaming "stop touching me!"

ARGH! I went to my grandma's with slightly wet hair and my great aunt started trying to drag her fingers through my hair! I wanted to hit her hand like she was a little kid and tell her NO!

I can deal with it when people touch it dry, but after I spend time detangling and shampooing, then waiting three hours til it's ALMOST dry, you had better not touch it!
    My routine:
    • Co-Wash: Suave Naturals Coconut
    • Rinse Out: Suave Coconut & Honey
    • Cold Water Rinse
    • Leave-In: Suave Naturals Coconut
    • Scrunch in a dab of olive oil
    • Gel: Herbal Essence Set Me Up
    • Plop for 45 min. to an hour
    • Clip and air dry
    • When nearly dry, pineapple for a few minutes, then SOTC

Everyone touches my hair, all the time. I don't care and everybody knows it so my guy friends my girl friends my acquaintances and even teachers are constantly touching my hair. Everyone knows not to run their fingers though it because I constantly warn against it. Mainly, people just kind of idly play with ad of course they boing any spiraly curls I have:blob2:

The worst is when it's a stranger. There was this one time that I was walking and some random person just reached out and grabbed my hair ! I almost fell, I don't know what made them think that was normal, but I almost lost my hair
  • somethingelsesomethingelse Posts: 75Registered Users
yeah. lol! ppl love love touching the spirally hair. i remember back in the old days when i didn't know no better and put hair spray in my hair... and ppl would come abd touch it without permission, then have the nerve to try and rub the residue on me. uhhh... i didn't tell you to touch my hair.

products: after everything I've tried & loved, I'm now down to just using yes to carrots conditioner. i actually just rub it on my hair while dry, get my hair moisted up with just that, then carefully finger comb/seperate sections of my hair (takes about 15-20 minutes). after that, i hope in the shower, let the water hit and shake-rinse my hair and massage my scalp. once out, i simple let my hair air dry. every now and then, i'll use a diffuser.

btw, pardon my all lower case. i just love 'em.

But it's not about what other people think it's about what you think so if people think it's ugly let them think that but if you think it's pretty that is all what matters!!!!! <3 & *

aww thanks :happy4: well i have been considering cutting my hair lately...but im afraid itll "poof" up because i wont have as much hair to weigh itself down...maybe i should just get layers...? people in my school arent too warm and fuzzy about curly hair, and if the cut is bad, you can BET its going to mean weeks of negative comments :\

Actually, not a whole lot of my "schoolmates" touch my hair. It's mostly just random people who come up and start playing with my hair. One time I was in a gas station, and this older lady came up and started rubbing the back of my hair(which is the frizziest part). I really hated it, but I just sat there and gradually moved away. :) I have a hair type where if you even *touch* the curl when it's wet, it will automatically become frizzy when it dries. :happy6:

I hate when people touch my hair!! But I've never yelled at anybody for it. There's not many curlies in my school, so I guess they just don't know any better.
Once, one of my friends, while we were on a youth retreat with church; pulled the side of my hair while it was still drying, ruining my curls. I was so P.O'ed, lol. I wore my hair in messy buns for the rest of the week.

Hair touching is one of my biggest pet peeves for sure. But don't get me wrong, I don't completely freak out about, it's just so annoying.

Just today my boyfriend was playing in my hair. He didn't mess up my curls but when a friend tugged, I was left with a poodle tail thing sticking off my head. I hate it when people rough house my hair. Touch but no rubbing or pulling, it's annoying.

Hell no. I'd be in jail.

The only people who can get away with touching my hair are close friends, and it's because I've probably touched their hair too. Anyone else gets a fuss out or a glare. Not only is it annoying but it's rude; didn't yo mama teach you to keep your hands to yourself?

And that's just unnecessary. I would've gotten suspended. LOL

Damn even people weren't doing all this when I was in high school, and it wasn't even five years ago! :sad7:

OMG, I know it's late, but me too. Ever since I BC'ed, this guy comes in class everyday and scrunches my little afro to the point he's touching my scalp. One girl said I should slap him, but it's kind of funny.:?

One of my friends came over last night and started asking me about my hair and if I was trying to grow it out and stuff, and she started twirling the ends of it a little.
I minded less than I usually do, but I guess it was because it was her. She's curly as well, but more in the 3a-ish range and has no clue what she's doing with it (almost sent her to, but didn't). And I hadn't seen her in a while and was so grateful to just have the company on my first night alone in a new apartment.
