Get outa here! I'm so excited. The LA Looks blue and pink gels are staples for me. They work so well when I put it in soaking wet hair.

Thank you for posting the ingredients! If you hadn't posted them, I probably would not have bothered to even look them up because all their gels have always had protein. This is the first LA Looks gel I've seen that doesn't have keratin amino acids. I may have to try this one!!

Exactly! I have the Sport Gel, and my coarse hair is hating the high protein content. This might be a winner! I think you said it even has oil in it, and my hair loves that. Thanks for posting this, beautifulRain!

The front of the bottle in the picture says avocado oil but not the ingredient list. Wonder if it's a standard list for that brand, I see that on Amazon all the time.

Exciting! The blue one is a staple for me. It's such a huge bottle though, I am not about to go buy this anytime soon. I sometimes put a small amount of coconut oil under it to seal my hair. It provides a "softer" feel/look.

i alternate the blue with brhg, i just ranted on the garnier new cream about drugstores and their poly 11 and hydro castor oil. it drives me crazy, i hate poly 11 and hydrogenated castor can leave me feeling sort of gunky and greasy.

I noticed that too, but that was the only ingredient list I could find? I'm hoping to find it in the store to see how the ingredient list looks... the front label definitely says it has avocado oil in it so I'm not sure what gives with that ingredient list on the Amazon page. Hopefully it is close, at least.

I have this one. Didn't know it was new. Got it at Stater's last week for under $2 on sale. I've used it a few times and it seems to work fine. My hair doesn't feel all sticky or crunchy or anything. I've tried it by itself as well as over the Aveeno mousse I've been trying out and like it both ways.

Here is what my bottle says...

Water, PVP, Polyquaternium-11, carbomer, panthenyl, ethyl ether, phenoxethanol, aminomethyl propanol, peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil, ppg-5-ceteth-20, methylparaben, propylene glycol, disodium edta, benzophenone-4, methylisothiazolinone, parfum, hydroxycitronellal, linalool, citronellol

Nope, don't see anything about avacado oil unless one of the fancy words means the same thing. lol

Hmm interesting. Does it say anything about avocado oil on the front of the bottle like in the picture on Amazon?

Interesting that it does not appear to have avocado oil in it. I could not find this on LA's website either. A moot point for me due to the castor oil. :(

I just bought this today from Harmons. I think it did replace the light blue curly gel, and I hope it works as well! I really liked the light blue curly gel. This one has a lot different ingredients...The one I bought looks like the one everybody is talking about on the Amazon link, but mine has these ingredients:

INGREDIENTS: AQUA (WATER), PVP, POLYQUATERNIUM-11, CARBOMER, PANTHENYL ETHYL ETHER, PEG-11 AVACADO GLYCERIDES, PHENOXYETHANOL, AMINOMETHYL PROPANOL, PEG-40 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, PPG-5-CETETH-20, METHYLPARABEN, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, DISODIUM EDTA, BENZOPHENONE-4, METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE)

I saw this and almost got it, then realized it said it had avocado oil on the bottle, yet it was not in the ingredient list. I was like Booooo.

Oh--how many blue gels are there? The blue one I use is the defining/frizz control, megahold, Level 8--I hope that isn't what you're talking about! I really like it & it's so cheap! Can't decide if it counts as light or medium blue though, LOL.

LOL...there are a couple of blue's. :) I like the light blue, curl defining/frizz control one. I'm actually hoping that this nutra curl gel didn't replace the light blue curl gel, because I love it so much! But I haven't been able to find the light blue curl gel for a couple of months. :(

I actually just got this last week. & I also noticed when I got home that avocado oil isn't in the ingredients list either... I am thinking about calling the company and ask.

anyways, I have only used it twice, but then went back to the sports gel. It was a little stringy looking, but I will keep trying it with different mixes of products.

also, I picked up the blue curl gel at the same time, and it's also on their website, so I do not think it is discontinued

I hope it's not discontinued, either, because my hair loves it. I just got a new bottle yesterday at the drugstore, and there were 2 or 3 of them on the shelf.

if you cant find the light blue curl gel, my walmart sells a brand called la bella, which I think is a dupe for LA looks, the curl gel is pink, I'll look at the ingredients when I go next, but I looked before, and I think they are pretty similar if not the same.

I've been thinking about trying the LaBella gel - that one was recommended for me in my Curl Genie product recommendations, which tells me to steer away from protein - but the propylene glycol is a little too high up on the list for me right now. I need the dews to be consistently in the 50's to have success with humectants, so I might hold off on that and try it in a few weeks.

Yeah, they do look quite a bit different. I've never tried the La Bella gel. I'm not sure what ingredients my hair loves or hates (it seems to have a mind of its own!) but maybe the La Bella is worth a try. Its definitely not expensive! :)
