Would it be worth it getting my haircut at GreatClips/SuperCuts?

My hair is about 2 1/2 to 3 inches past my shoulders, I've been thinking about getting it cut to either resting on my shoulders, or a little bit above them in an attempt to get my curls tighter. I've always gone to SuperCut and GreatClips when I straightened my hair, but now that I wear it curly, I have no idea what I'm going to do.
What are somethings I need to tell the person cutting my hair? Should I wear my hair naturally when I get it cut, or is it okay to have some product in? Have you ever had your hair cut at one of these two places? If so, how did it turn out?

Thanks for the help. :)

I have gone to Super cuts and it was not a good idea! :( the only thing I recommend is if really want it, talk to the stylist how u want hair done and ask her if she has cut curly hair before? I only go there for a straight trim that's all, I pay her $10 and leave then I go home and shape it myself :)

No ! Go to a stylist trained in curly cuts- preferably deva. Curly hair is pretty forgiving unless you cut too much. Then you're stuck until it grows out. If you get the right cut it will grow out well so you don't need frequent cuts
