Should I cut my hair or no?

I straightened my hair for 3 days straight last month for a special occasion. But now I have horrible split ends and my hair is breaking. MY mom says to grow it out but I feel I should cut it and start all over. I feel like my hair is that bad. I prefer not to cut my hair but if their is no other solution I will. My hair is bsl and i was thinking cutting it up to my jawline.

When you go to get it hair cut ask ur stylist how much they think u should get cut off if they think u need slot cut then go short and get some layers and have fun with it if they don't have to cut off alot then just let them cut off what they need to cut. Also ask them if they have any good tips for when u straiten ur hair any moisturizers u can use. I wish u the best of luck!
