Sudden Frizz outbreak with GFTN?

I have been using Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition for about 2 weeks and the first two weeks I loved it...Over the last two days my canopy slowly started frizzing and is getting worse. That's the only new-ish thing I've bought.

Could it be the olive oil and other oils? I know the conditioner has no protein, I don't have a sensitivity to protein though either. I was just looking for a good drugstore conditioner since I buy expensive things for leave in and curl cream.

I thought about trying AOHR and see if it made a difference.

Any thoughts? I am doing everything else the same and I can start to see the frizz coming out before I'm even done scrunching out the water in the shower...

TIA!

Could you be over conditioned with using this conditioner for two weeks?

I had the same thing happen to me with this condtioner, actually. I was pretty well into the bottle, and I even rotated it with other products, shampooed, and no matter what I did the frizz was crazy. I loved it at first because it had pretty good slip and left my hair feeling pretty good after I rinsed it out. After awhile, I figured out it was a build up issue. Once I poo'ed it out, used some other conditioners for RO and co-washing (I used the Triple Nutrition primarily as a RO because it was heavier for me, but sometimes did use it for co-washing) the problem ceased. Went back to using it for awhile, frizz was an issue again, and since stopping using it totally my hair is fine.

I guess I should have known better though- I never have any luck with Garnier products for some reason :-P

I have been overconditioned before and I would describe that as more fluffy, not frizzy just not holding a style.

This actually curls and has style still but tons of frizz, I knew it wasn't the weather because I could tell in the shower that it was getting worse every wash. Maybe it just took a while for my hair to hate it? :) I have actually tried things with olive oil before and my hair also frizzed. I thought oil was good for moisture though?

I'm guessing my hair does not like the oils.

My sister just offered her YES TO TOMATOES condish so I think I might try that.

I tried that for the first time this week and it made my hair so nice and soft! Hope it works for you.

Well I tried the yes to tomatoes and loved the slip on it! Another question though, I saw some frizz forming again and thought would I need to cowash to have gotten all the GFTN out from before? I wasn't due to cowash till Tom and didn't think about it. I did do an ACV rinse after the yes to tomatoes though.

I just learned from Kathymack that GF Triple cond has castor oil in it. I used HE Hello Hydration instead of GF this am and so far less frizz. Thought I'd pass that along.

Oops! Sorry! Make that mineral oil.

No, there is no mineral oil in the GFTN conditioner, unless under some name I don't know:
    Ingredients
Aqua , Water , Cetearyl Alcohol , Elaeis Guineensis Oil (Palm Oil) , Behentrimonium Chloride , Pyrus Malus Extract (Apple Fruit Extract) , Glycerin , Parfum (Fragrance) , Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine , Niacinamide , Pyridoxine HCI , Butyrospermum Parkii Butter (Shea Butter) , Citric Acid , Olea Europaea Oil (Olive Fruit Oil) , Saccharum Officinarum Extract , Extrait de Canne a Sucre , Benzyl Alcohol , Chlorhexidine Dihydrochloride , Persea Gratissima Oil (Avocado Oil) , Ribes Nigrum Oil (Black Currant Seed Oil) , Linalool , Citrus Medica Limonum Peel Extract (Lemon Peel Extract) , CI 19140 (Yellow 5) , Camellia Sinensis Extract , Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract , CI 15985 (Yellow 6)

There is mineral oil in the one that comes in a tube, the 3 minute miracle one with the wierd gritty stuff in it, but not in the regular conditioner.

Good to know- my frizz is the absolute worst today, made a seperate post to try and diagnose it...not sure if it was the GFTN or I guess now something else.

Did a PT and worse than ever. Not sure which condish to turn to now....
