My hair is a natural 4a/b and well, I dislike it to a HUGE extent. My sister and I have been looking for relaxers that could relax my natural roots.

I use to relax and I'm atleast 6-7 months post. but since I no longer relax I decided to flat iron most days to still have straight hair. Well, heat damage caught up with me pretty quickly.:angry3: My hair was breaking up like crazy. It was badd.
So i'm starting this month journey to recover my hair's health and then stop ironing it unless i have some special occasion and on my relaxer day.

We found Phyto Relaxer. It says it's egg and soy based and natural. Im I dreaming or is this real??

Has anyone tried this???? If so, please post pictures of how this worked out for you.
My recovering month is almost over and I want my 'straight' hair back.

I've personally never tried this but have heard some reviews of people trying this relaxer and ending up regretting it because it wasn't as natural as it seems. I'll see if I can find the post for you.

Here's some information on the Phytorelaxer . . outting that it really ISN'T natural at all. There's an ingredient list listed here: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curltalk/straightening-relaxing/97143-phytorelaxer-not-chemical-free-natural-relaxer.html

I have used it several times in the past, the last time I think being 2009. Don't get hung up on the "natural" or "different" aspect of the ingredients. A lot of that is great PR. It's a relaxer pure and simple.

My experience with Phyto was no different than any other relaxer on the market. It straightened the same way and burned my scalp the same way. It has an odor to it. I didn't find it overwhelming but it definitely had a hint of a chemical experiment. It retails for about 60 bucks in the US and about half the price if you're in Europe.

I used the lower level one because my hair is fine and it did its job. My hair was straight but not bone straight. Nonetheless, that didn't halt my hair's loss of elasticity.

If you've stopped relaxing out of concern for your hair's health, then Phyto isn't going to be a magical answer.

I hope this helps you in making an informed choice.
