This section of the forums is kinda a downer. Who has some kind of victory to share? Even a small one like avoiding the cookies calling your name in the pantry when you are PMSing and REALLY want something sweet. Or fitting into something you couldn't before. Anything! We need to stay positive!

This weekend my boyfriend and I went to NYC for a valentine's weekend...well, I ate like CRAP, but my bf took this picture of me and I actually looked at it and thought for the first time ever "OMG I LOOK SKINNY!!!!"

I started losing weight last year (2010) in January when I weighed about 245lbs (I am 5'5'' for reference)...here is my obligatory horrible fat picture from when I was in a friend's wedding.

Before1.jpg

And here is the picture from this weekend at 187.5lbs, a 56 pound loss so far! (Ignore the hair...we were walking around the windy city all day!)

Wow! That's an amazing accomplishment. Congratulations :)

Tonight I am indulging. I am going to enjoy some delicious supper then delicious dessert. I may eat away my almost-there 6pack. I have some hilarious photos taken for reference and here is one shortly after day 30 of starting p90x:

This thread needs resurrection immediately!!! Post your successes and such!! I hit my first 20 lbs loss when I weighed in on Sunday. 7.6 lbs to go till I lose 10% of my original weight. Losing 115 lbs is the ultimate goal. I'm up to jogging for twenty minutes and I can float in and out of the plus size and misses sizing at Maurices

Yeah my friends would look at me like I don't get it when we would hit the club. I would dance so hard jump around.... makeup pristine when I walked out while I am trying to make sure no napkin bits were left behind on their foreheads.

It's been about 3 weeks since I've last measured myself and I'm down another 6 inches. Since January I've lost over 12 inches. Most from my boobs and midsection. My waist is almost 30 inches!

One of my coworkers actually commented on me slimming down today. The first non-family to comment. It feels really good for people to notice things like this. It really takes hard work. I mean I don't need the validation but it's just really nice.

Hmm. What else? ...oh! I haven't drank soda or juice for over 2 months. My camelbak has had me fall in love with water. So it is now my beverage of choice

You and Turtles - sounds like I really need to get a camelback, huh?

In other news, I don't know how many total pounds I've lost, but I'm glad to say that I'm comfortably wearing size 14 clothes, down from 18W/20. :toothy5:

Camelbaks are awesome! I have the groove one with the filter inside of the straw. Its really convenient. I highly recommend it!

And congrats on the weight loss! I haven't been weighing myself either but I've been keeping track of my measurements. I feel like it's a better way for me because its easier to see the transformation that my body is taking as opposed to just looking at the scale. I weighed myself in January and I'll do it again when I go home this weekend, but I'm really much less concerned with the numbers on the scale.

Today's run was awesome. I had not run in a week and I ran 2 miles in 30 minutes. Even when I took a break I did not finish two full laps around the walking trail. Yaaay!! AND I'm 3 lbs away from losing 10% of my body weight

Lost 15 inches off my body last month (YEAH BOY!!!). Unfortunately the scale didn't move one lick. Up and down the same 2-3 pounds. It JUST moved this morning after 3 weeks of nothing.

Had to purchase new bras (I'm not happy about this one). 42DDs are now to big...down to a 40DD and in some styles a 40D. I liked my tig ole bittys and they are fading into the sunset. Sigh.

I'm so excited. I ran 3 consistent miles on Monday...at a 9:50 pace. I have not ran 3 solid miles together since before kiddos (2005). I was so excited. Now I just have to work on speed... I still want to hit my goal of running a 5K competively...but now at least I know I can make it that far.

My weight is staying the same even with all the exercise and watching what I eat...maybe I need to measure inches. Do you guys do your own measuring? Have anything you follow?
