Cocoa Butter in Hair

Can I use cocoa butter in my hair mixed up together with some coconut oil and olive oil? Can I use it like I do shea butter? What are the differences between the two? Anxious to put that nice smelling stuff in my hair. It's pure cocoa butter.

    Hi,
I use coconut oil and olive oil in my hair:
    - coconut oil is thick and leaves hair conditioned and soft. but it will leave grease marks on your clothes :(
    - olive oil is great for dry scalp and doesn't stink
    - I'm not sure about shea but I bet it will not leave grease on your cloths!

Hmm. My coconut oil is actually quite thin and very very stinky. I wonder if anything's wrong with it. Thankies though.

Cocoa butter gets stinky in my hair after a while. Same story with coconut oil, lol. They both smell great in their jars, though!

If its stinky, its probably rancid. I'd toss it, and buy a new jar.

Virgin Coconut Oil- smells like coconut, solid at room temp below 76 degrees
Regular Coconut Oil- dosen't smell like anything, solid at room temp below 76 degrees
Fractionated Coconut Oil- dosen't smell like anything, aways liquid
3a/3b Medium Texture & Normal Porosity
    Modified CG since November 2009
Low Poo - (Once in a while) True Polaris Solid Shampoo Bar
CO-wash/Condish - (I'm lazy, one step only!) True Polaris Solid Conditioner Bars
Styling - True Polaris Truly Curly Styling Gel I add 'cones in summer Truly Frizz Free Hair Serum
    I plop and defuse daily
