Sodium cocoyl sulfate?

My Avalon Organics Tea Tree Shampoo (which is my low - poo, and it helps with my dry scalp) has sodium cocoyl sulfate in it, and I was wondering if it will harm my hair like a sulfate will. I did some research on the Avalon Organics website and it says it's "Derived from coconut; mild cleanser that won't strip or dry delicate skin and hair." But can I trust the site?
Hair Type: I was thinking thick, fine 3A, but honestly I have no clue! I do know I have a super flat top, and frizz on the sides.

Here's a super handy list I found concerning which sulfates are safe, and which ones aren't.
Harsh sulfates to avoid in cleansers:

    [*]Sodium Laureth, Myreth, Lauryl Sulfate
    [*]Ammonium Lauryl and Laureth Sulfate
    [*]Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate
    [*]TEA Lauryl Sulfate
    [*]TEA-dodecylbenzenesulfonate
    [*]Sodium Alkylbenzene Sulfonate
[*]Ammonium or Sodium XylenesulfonateGentler, very mild sulfates in cleansers:

    [*]Sodium Cocyl Isethionate
    [*]Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate
    [*]Sodium Socoyl (or lauryl/lauroyl) Sarcosinate
    [*]Ethyl PEG-15 Cocamine Sulfate
    [*]Dioctyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate
    [*]Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate
    [*]Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate
[*]Sodium Methyl 2-Sulfolaurate/Disodium Sulfolaurate – (synonym) Sodium
[*]Methyl Cocoyl or Lauryl Taurate – mild, derived from coconut fatty acids
[*]Sodium Cocoyl GlycinateSince your sulfate doesn't appear on the list, I'm going to try and help you from memory. I think I remember someone mentioning a "sodium coco sulfate," in another thread, and someone replied and said it was safe for a CG routine and non-stripping. So I would give it a thumbs-up! ;) Good luck, and HTH!

The shampoo i use has that same ingredient and in parenthesis it says it's coconut derived, so I suppose it's not as bad as the regular stuff. hopefully. it doesn't really strip your hair, or atleast in my case.
Soon from shoulder length to bra length, while curly.

    Hair Routine:
Organic Conditioner to cleanse and leave in
Almond, EVOO, or Castor Oil to seal.
No gel, but if needed FSG

3bc. some rare parts in 3a. I have mixed hair due to heat damage and texturizers.
    medium thickness.
    normal density.
    normal porosity.
    dark brown.
