I have decided to order this book on thebookdepository.com, free shipping, even though I fear that I may not be able to view the DVD. It is $14.10. It seems that the US curlies think it is good value. Is anyone else tempted? Will update once I have received it!!

I have the old one but am very tempted to get the new one also. I was looking on fishpond.com.au it's 13.47 with free shipping. Apparently is has a designated section to wavies this time round and i am keen to check it out. i'm trying to stop myself from spending. would love to know what you think.

In the US the going price for this book is $13.95, but Amazon.com (US site) is selling it for $10. I'd imagine with shipping included $14.10 is still a decent price. I received my copy today and I'm excited! I heard someone suggest to an Australian board member who was concerned about the DVD not playing to try playing it on their computer instead of DVD player? I hope it'll work for you guys!
Wurly, fine, thin, moderately to heavily porous. Mod CG.

I just ordered it today from the bookdepository site. Ive used that website before so i know they are legit and ship relitavely fast. What a bargain! I hired the old version of curly girl out from my local library (what a find!) and had to hire it out two more times as i just love it as a reference. Considered buying it off amazon or something for a while, then the new one came out, cheaper than i could get the old one for, with NEW content...

    SOLD!

yeahhhh cant wait to recieve it!

Got my copy yesterday. Just finished reading/skimming the book and - very excited - watching the DVD on my laptop! It works!!

I have learnt a lot and believe it is worth purchasing. Greatest revelation for me is the emphasis on treating the hair extremely gently during the cleansing, conditioning, applying gel, blotting process, much more so than I have done during my year or so of CG. Can't wait to try this next cleanse day. I hope this will help with my frizz issues ...

The recipes are also great. I will be trying a few of these also.

Not so useful for me are the 'trimming your own hair' and horoscope chapters.

All in all, a valuable resource to have. $14.10 well spent!!

I am a new Aussie curly - well, new to naturallycurly and the whole CG revelation! I have just ordered this book from fishpond and I'm REALLY excited!! and it's super cheap, 13.99 with free postage, but they only had 2 copies left after I bought mine.

Without sounding like a complete nuff nuff...OH MY GOD i didn't know there was so much to know and learn. I always thought curlies were a bit neglected in the hair world and had no idea this site and resources were available!!

Can't wait to start a new hair regime :D

Hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.

You are right - there is heaps to learn re CG. And beware, your straight haired friends will think you are slightly unhinged if you confide in them about CG, this site etc. Vent here instead! Good luck.

I ordered and received mine from angus&robertson.com.au it cost me around $24 and I had it in just over two weeks, fantastic book but to be honest...there is no info in that book that you cant find on here. It is good to have your info all in one place though so you dont have to waste time searching...By the way, this would make an amaaaaazing gift for someone, especially if theyve never heard of the curly girl method

It's a really good book, even better than the first edition, which was great. I've given it to friends, family, and recommended it to various strangers who have admired my hair. The DVD is helpful.

    The Amazon.com price -- $8 -- was extremely reasonable.
