Out of town and hair is SUPER CURLY

I'm SO ANNOYED. I'm in SC visiting the folks. My crown is the same as back home in Bama, so I'm still having trouble fixing it and having the shape look good, but holy COW.

I'm getting huge clumps of curls here. Even the back-which is usually wavy mixed with straight-is curling and clumping.

Anybody else consider moving when they have good out of town hair? LOL.

The only thing different is that I'm using a travel size Deva No poo and One C instead of Suave coconut and GVP conditioning balm. All of my other products are the same. I HOPE HOPE HOPE that's what caused the improvement and not just the different water/weather. *fingers crossed*

I've had that. I remember feeling my hair was better at my friend's place in Los Angeles than it was at home (which was Orlando at the time). I was never sure what was the magic trick there.

In LA, I bet it was the smog, Plunkubug!
So Erin, let's see if I understand, you're traveling and seeing people who care about you and will be happy for your new waves and curls and they look great and... you're SO ANNOYED? Silly wurly! Enjoy it and figure out how to replicate it.
I hope it is products. It could be the water or differences in humidity and temp.

Hope you can take the enhanced hair home with you.

No, IAGirl...it was GOOD in LA. I thought it might be the water. My hair felt cleaner, softer, shinier, etc. I think the water back in Orlando must've been really hard. Because I took the same little travel sized shampoo and conditioners back home and they weren't as good there. I suppose it could have been the weather too.

I wish I could say the same thing, Erin. I have been out of town since Sunday and have had horrible hair all week! It's frizzy and won't curl at all. I guess my hair doesn't like going from dews in the single digits to dews in the 60's. I can't wait to get home late tonight. Just knowing that I can get back to all the products ( I miss my beloved SS CEJ!) I'm used to and the water and weather I've learned to deal with is a relief. I sure hope I can get good results for Christmas Eve and Christmas and that my hair won't rebel on me!:tongue2:

LOL. I'm LOVING having cute hair while visiting friends and family. I'm annoyed because we MOVED. Hee hee. I keep thinking to myself that if we still lived there, I could have curls like this EVERY DAY. While I lived there, I flat ironed and blew it out daily because I didn't know what I had to work with. Irony. LOL.

It wasn't a "mad" annoyed. It was a humorous annoyed.

We got back home last night. I am about to hit the showers and see if it was indeed the Deva or if it was just the perfect storm of weather/water properties. *fingers crossed*
