Winter Deep Conditioner

Hey Everyone,

I'm sure there is a topic about this, but you all know how it goes.

I am having a really hard time finding a good store-bought deep conditioner. Now that it's winter (8 degrees today ) I want to deep condition a couple times a week. I need some suggestions for a great deep conditioner I can BUY (homemade/food product dt's aren't my thing). No 'cones please!

Thanks!

8 degrees! Ay! It was almost 80 here yesterday!

Here's an article we did about taking care of your winter hair. And here's an article about winter hair care product recommendations.

The only one I have purchased that I like is the SheaMoisture Deep Treatment Masque. It is a bit heavy and I think it works best for me when I sit under the dryer. I got mine from target for about $10 and you get 12 ounces. So I think it is a good deal. It is not a wow product but it is decent.

I have used shea moisture DC treatment or I love Organic root stimulator deep conditioning replenishing packs! Now i dont use products with "CONES":? in them often, as a matter of fact the deep conditioner is the only thing that has a cone. But it works wonders on my coarse 4a/4b hair. leaves it soft an moisturized and i use this once a week! check it out:hello2:

You could buy some oil (coconut, olive, avocado, grapeseed, or macademia nut) at the grocery store and use it as a hot oil treatment.

For protein I love GVP Strengthening Treatment (cone but CW'ng gets it out) or ORS Hair Mayonnaise (has a sulfate and cone in it). I'm mod-CG and I really wanted to not use the ORS because of some of the ingredients but my hair loves it too much. Surprisingly it effected my hair positively not negatively :). For moisture you can't beat Lustrasilk's Shea Butter/Mango Cholesterol for ~$2 a pop (20 oz.) Love the stuff! Works great as a leave in and for extra oomph add honey, olive oil, and coconut oil for a great DT. HTH!

P.S all of this stuff can be found at your Sally's!
    Low-Poo: Hairveda's Shampoo Bar
    Co- Wash: Suave Professionals
Rinse-out Conditioners: HE LTR , GF Triple Nutrition, Lustrasilk Shea/Mango Cholesterol
Deep Conditioner: Lustrasilk S/M Cholesterol + honey, EVOO, coconut oil

    Moisturizers:
    Hairveda's 3-n-1 Creme & Blended Beauty's Curl Styling Lotion
