Miss Jessie oops...

So I ordered [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Miss-Jessies-Curly-Pudding-p-578.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=miss-jessies-curly-pudding]Miss Jessies Curly Pudding[/buylink] and tried it yesterday. It made my hair curl really well even my crown and stubborn bangs, but it felt awful and dry. I am gathering that this line is more for ethnic hair. I guess I was confusing it with another product I was thinking about trying and saw the special she was running and ordered some to try. So now I have two jars which I probably won't use.

Well, you could always swap it away. Or you could sample it out. You could also try using it a different way. If it's making you dry, then try alot of conditioner under it. I think it was made to be used with the Baby Buttercream under it, but I could be wrong about that.
    I'm a 3b, with 3c underneath.

Used to be CG, now I'm not. Using Suave Aloe & Waterlily shampoo & condish, JoiWhip, BRHG, Suave Aloe gel, Aussie Tizz No Frizz, and anything else that looks good!

I don't think CP is made for "ethnic hair" (which is not a real hair category anyway). It's just for really curly hair (3b and up).

I doubt that your ethnicity could be the reason it's drying your hair out; it seems you've applied it incorrectly: on the site, the Baby/[buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Miss-Jessies-Curly-Buttercreme-p-577.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=miss-jessies-curly-buttercreme]Curly Buttercreme[/buylink] (leave in) is always used before applying the Pudding, that seems to be what most people on here that use it are doing, too. That should eliminate crunch. Also, I think the instructions say to DT before use.

I don't know what their return policy might be, hopefully you can get it to work for you (or swap it away as curlyjenn suggested) so you won't have wasted your cash.

Yeah my hair is a 3b/c. I did a DT earlier in the week. The directions do talk about using the other products in the line. But I have always mixed different product lines, so I didn't know that is was a must. I just saw the great reviews and the great sale and thought it would be a good time to try it. Like I said it look really good as long as you didn't touch it cause it felt yuck. I didn't use as much as they jar said. I used RR and then [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Miss-Jessies-Curly-Pudding-p-578.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=miss-jessies-curly-pudding]Curly Pudding[/buylink]. With the humidity in Florida I wonder if it would do well in summer. It was raining last night and my hair hardly frizzed. I just hate to keep the new jar and waste it if someone else can use it so maybe I can find someone to send it to.
