Keratin and Indigo

I am having Indigo issues. My BKT was going strong until I just did a touch up of my henna/Indigo. The henna was fine ( I do a 2 step), but may hair felt different as soon as I washed out the Indigo. Now I have about 50% more frizz than before.

Does anyone else have Indigo issues? I may change to chemical color, but I am nervous about that.

I'm getting fuzz after henna and indigo, so I just touch up my roots. Plus side, color of indigo seems to fade much less if I BKT over freshly henna/indigo treated hair. Too scared to go back to chemical dye and lose the awesome shininess and depth of color henna gives.

You might want to cleanse with Wen after doing the Indigo, to soften and calm the frizz.

Does the indigo contain sodium laureth or sodium laurel? Using sodium on keratin hair causes frizz. Could be you need to follow with a good deep condi with keratin. I also love Extenzz which has lecethin to calm curls and prevents hair from shrinking and frizzing.

Thanks for the replies. Its not fatal. So far I have to rewet my hair daily now and put some extra gel. Before the Indigo I could just pineapple for like 4 days easy without redoing it.

Just did a color touch up last week with henna/indigo. I definitely think the indigo is taking out the keratin. I am doing a QOD touch up today. That makes it about 8 weeks bewteen keratin treatments which is ok---I suspect if I can find a way to substitute the indigo I could go 3 months.

So my BKT is looking great but its time to touch up my color. I keep trying to postpone it---but now I look like an owl. I am convinced that the indigo is taking out my BKT so I have a new strategy. I am going to put vaseline on my dark hair to see if it protects it from the Indigo---
