Pics as promised, better late than never

Dougal - will be 16 at the end of this month, can barely see or hear and has no teeth but seems very content and manages very well.

Bailey, the camera shy one. As you can probably tell from the look she's giving me.

And my boy, Jed, just so he doesn't feel left out! He's about 11 now, we think, getting greyer and slower.

My cousin's dog, Lola, decided she needed to carry this giant stick with her on a hike through the woods. .

Is she a lab? My sister had a yellow lab who used to try and carry the most ridiculous sticks.

Yes, Lola is a lab mix and yes, labs LOVE to carry stuff. My cousin has had labs for years and it's a rare occasion to go to her house and not have logs and sticks drug all over the yard. And they are relentless about getting you to throw sticks for them. Great dogs.

I agree about labs being great dogs. We've had a number of labs or lab mixes throughout the years. Our current dog, Lacey, is lab/pit/hound mix or similar. She's some sort of mutt we got via rescue.

Thank you for being gentle doggies owners.
I am sad today because my role was phased out at current dog rescue group.

My cousin and I are leaving tomorrow for North Carolina for a week, visiting my ex and visiting my cousin's late boyfriend's daughter.  This is one of my cousin's cats, Mr Kitters, helping her pack.

Cute cat, and LOVED "Station Eleven"!   I just read where she's writing a follow-on book.... out in 2019. Not exactly a sequel but some of the same characters, I guess.

^I lent that book to my cousin and she says it is good and will give it to me to read when she's done (I am a super slow reader because I get so many migraines so I let her have it first). I will tell her another one is coming out.
I got Thomas a new kitty condo because he was a good boy for my petsitter. : ) No automatic alt text available

I stayed at my ex's house in NC and he has 8 cat trees and only 2 cats!!  Now those are some spoiled cats!!  Carmella and Tony. And yes, they always look this ornery.

My son's cat is like that, Jeep. So a few years back, we adopted sister cats. One of them bonded with Mason. Just adores him. Follows him everywhere. Squawks at him the minute he walks in the door from school. Sits on his homework when he's working at his desk.  She ignores the rest of us.

@Gretchen  She is an old lady with a bad hip but she still goes to work with her dad almost every day. He's a landscape contractor and her job is to guard the equipment. She's not as good at that as Timberwolf is. She was ferocious in her youth but now she runs off to people to get petted and leaves the equipment to fend for itself. haha.

Thomas was helping me clean my spheres last night. But now he's decided this basket is his and every time I walk in the room he runs and jumps in it. My spheres will have to find a new home.
