Shea butter mixed with lemongrass eo?

So Im trying to start mixin up my own stuff and I wanted to buy lavender however my husband thought that whole foods price of ten dollars was too much......... so lemongrass was the cheaper choice. Everything Ive been reading shows lemongrass for oily skin or hair??? Which is the exact opposite of what I want and need. Has anyone else tried lemongrass? how did it turn out??

I mix my shea butter with lemon eo! Is that the same as lemongrass? But yeah I haven't had any bad effects, it's worked perfectly for me!

Lemon eo and lemongrass eo come from different places. I believe lemon eo comes from the actual peel or seed of the lemon whereas lemongrass eo comes from the leaves of a type of grass. They both smell not too much different to me.

I'd agree with your husband on the price of that lavender. I got mine for around $5 for an ounce bottle. I got it last year and I still have it.

In my experience, essential oils don't really do much for the actual hair. They do more for the scalp and adding scent to a product than anything else.

well I ended up going back today and got the lavender, I think I put waaaay too much lemongrass in my shea because my eyes kept squinting when I put it all over my body lol soooo hopefully this lavender mellows it out some idk
