I can't say certains type of music I like for sure, because, for example, I love kid cudi, but I wouldn't say I listen to rap, because I only listen to him.

I love the veronicas, but they're the only pop rock band I like.

    I do like house music.
and I do like heavy metal. :tongue7:

I like good oldies, some rap, Erykah Badu and Jill Scott, raheem devaugn, dwele (I know. Stereotypical music associated with naturals..lol). I like some pop, rock, and alternative music. I pretty much like all types of music, just not everything within a genre.

Oh and I really like instrumentals and classical music.

I've been on last.fm but I like YouTube better because you can listen to more songs that aren't clips.

I listen to jazz-rock fusion, indie, alternative, classical, punk, and some country music. My tastes are all over the place. I'm also composing my own classical pieces right now and working on recording them @ my house.

I've heard of last.fm. Like everyone else my taste is pretty broad. Today I listened to Bach and Michael McDonald and El DeBarge. Now I want to go skating...lol I also like listening to YT for music.

I like pretty much everything except techno/electronica/dub/House or anything that sounds like that... I also hate Smooth Jazz.

But I love rock, R&B, Country, Jazz, Pop, Salsa etc... (depending on the artist really)... but my first love is Hip Hop.

Indie/alternative is my no1. then some grime, some rap, some minimal techno. I like US modern indie/alt more than UK modern indie/alt but have recently been filling the gaps in my collection.

I don't use last FM, I tend to just buy stuff I like. I have some vinyl too. I do use Jango.com because you can customise your own radio station like last fm and it introduces me to stuff I would not have heard otherwise. I also love Pitchfork for finding new things to listen to.

I come from quite a musical city in the UK so I'm drawn to those bands like The Smiths, Joy Division, New Order and The Fall.

I like Arcade Fire, The Drums, Neutral Milk Hotel, Vampire Weekend, LCD Soundsystem, Belle & Sebastian, The Cure, Radiohead and loads more.

I have last.fm but don't use it as much as I could.

I like mostly Indie and Alternative Rock myself (Killers, Noisettes, Mystery Jets, etc).

I also like some of everything else.

    As long as it's not country/bluegrass/death metal/commercial rap.. i'll give it a listen. :)

Right now I'm loving the new cd by Sara Bareilles called Kaleidoscope Heart.

My favorites are punk and grunge. I think I'm probably pretty close-minded when it comes to music. I don't listen to the radio, I don't try to discover new music because I'm content with the music that I have.

Anyway, my favorites are Alice in Chains, Minor Threat, Black Flag, Pearl Jam, Skin Yard, Led Zeppelin, Mudhoney, Chet Baker, Fugazi, Chili Peppers, Nirvana..

    Never heard of last.fm.

However, my tastes in music are kind of broad and I listen to a lot of stuff. Jazz, r&b (current and old school), hip-hop, house, freestyle and pop are my faves, but I will listen to some alternative and rock as well. The genres I dislike the most are classical and country.

Mozart's my favorite classical composer. I also like Vivaldi and Bach.

You'll find all kinds of other stuff in my collection, too.

I've got a little bit of old stuff like Dean Martin and Rosemary Clooney.
Got some 60s stuff like the Beatles and the Monkees.
Got some 70s stuff like ELO and Fleetwood Mac.
Tons, TONS of 80s stuff. Name it, I've probably got it.
I also have some newer stuff from P!nk, Plain White Ts, Katy Perry, Train, Uncle Kracker, etc.
I've also got some kooky, fun stuff like The Chipmunks "Witch Doctor" (the original), and "The Lonely Goatherd" from the The Sound of Music.
Lately, however, I've been drawn to the happy little tunes you hear in TV commercials, like Little & Ashley, Jess Penner and Ingrid Michaelson. They're just so cute and upbeat!

Yup... as far as downloading stuff into my MP3 player, I Just Can't Get Enough (Depeche Mode). :tongue4:

Yeah, on my blog. I have it listed in my siggy. I only have one or two songs up right now. I'm planning on doing about three more songs and then I'm thinking about posting them on Bandcamp. I'm still working on the third piece right now.

I <3 Bach. He probably my favorite. Not really familiar with Vivaldi other than the Four Seasons piece. Mozart's pretty awesome too 8-)

I have an old record of Rosemary Clooney doing duets with Bing Crosby. It's pretty interesting to listen to sometimes.

anything from the new jack swing era. mostly r&b artists that would benefit from their own where are they now specials. my brother and i try to outdo each other with discovering (or rediscovering) those artists and groups. i LOVE LOVE LOVE 60's/70's/early 80's soul music. other than that i always seem to be attracted to those obscure black punk bands. i despise modern urban radio (including those pop stations).
