QB BRBC and KCCC question. Did a search, but still have ??s.

I finally purchased QB BRBC and was excited to use it. After a search of its use with the KC line I saw that most people used it immediately after washing, then added KCNT and then [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink].

So I did that, but was not excited by the results. Definition was lacking and it left a little residue. I think this was due partly to the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Knot-Today-p-207.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-knot-today-leaveindetangler]KCKT[/buylink] not being the first product on my wet hair. I normally put that on first, then coconut oil, the CC.

I want to know has anyone tried using the KT first, then the QB BRBC, then the CC?

*sigh* I just wanna love this stuff so I'm looking for the perfect combo.

i haven't used this combo before, but whenever i layer products i do it in a particular order. i always put my conditioner on first because making sure that my hair is moisturized is the most important for me. then i use my sealant (oil) because i want my moisture sealed in. lastly i put in whatever product im using for hold, because really that's what i'm concerned about the least.

so since QB BRBC has oils in it, i would put that on 2nd instead of 1st, since it would be acting like a sealant.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone do this combo...I personally wouldn't do it. The BRBC can also be used as a LI, so if I were you I'd try just that with the Custard and see what happens!

I got the combo from this thread: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curltalk/showthread.php?t=41171 which is a couple years old. I think I agree with you both and what was also my first mind. Next time I'm going to skip the KT or put it on first, then QB BRBC.

    Thanks for the help!:toothy8:

Ah, gotcha! Did you only put it on your ends though? That might make more sense.

KC sometimes does not play nice with other ingredients too. I had to learn that the hard way, lol!!

I've applied the KT first, fairly generously to clump and style, then the BRBC very sparingly mostly on ends for moisture, then the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink]. That order works for me with almost every leave-in/styler, oil/butter or gel product. Lately been using Qhemet Olive Honey Hydrating balm in the same way. Love the stuff (almost more than the BRBC).

Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.
