Does anyone avoid scrunching?

Just curious if anyone finds that scrunching generally doesn't work for them? I searched all over the boards and couldn't find a single person.

For me, scrunching helps a bit with curl formation, but mostly results in a tangled stringy mess. I didn't scrunch at all while styling today and my hair looks much better.

Not me, my hair scrunches happily. But I saw a post by Santini on the General Hair board about this, she can't scrunch.

Someone else (is it JennyQ?) paddles rather than scrunches. Trying searching paddling and I'll bet you will find the posts. Very descriptive and others have said they like the method.
If I do not scrunch, I enjoy straight hair for the day-so I am a wild scruncher! haha!

I can scrunch upside down (ice queen method) in the shower and scrunch out the crunch. But any scrunching in between, like with a towel, destroys my clumps and turn them stringy.

So, Peda, are you a raker when it comes to product distribution? Or do you scrunch it in right after rinsing out while it's still sopping wet?

For me, my hair loves scrunching. It's probably 2b/c without scrunching, but 2c/3a when I scrunch and diffuse. It depends on my mood what I end up doing on any given day.

I don't strunch either, I just smooth my product on my hair and twist my hair in one giant (?!? thing, not sure of the word, pony tail?) And then I put it in my microfiber towel and let it dry some and take it down.

Raking destroys my clumps. I scrunch out as much water as possible by hand and then scrunch my products into my hair.

Ah the simplicity! I'll have to try that.

Scrunching gives me more curl and more curl coverage. I finds that scrunching in water after my stylers helps reform clumps and be less stringy. If I don't scrunch, I have a flat top and poofy bottom with some wave and curl, in a very inconsistent pattern.
