Seattle Curly Gathering?

msrebamsreba Posts: 143Registered Users
I was just wondering if there is any interesting in a gathering of curlies sometime after the holidays are all said and done. Perhaps Mid-Janurary or something in that neighborhood.

Just looking to see if there is any intrest now. Once I see that there is(if there is).. then I will start asking about locations etc. icon_biggrin.gif

I haven't been posting much lately, but I would be interested in a Seattle gathering in January.

Ever since the sports thread wars I have sensed a special connection between [edit] & Wile. Like the connection oil has to water. I almost can't speak of it. Wait....my eyes are misting. ~asq

Would anyone be interested in doing a swap of sorts at our gathering? I'm embarrassed to say I've got a little bit of a graveyard in my linen closet!

    Question -
    where do you guys shop?

I've had no luck at all finding any of the products listed on the board... where should I have been looking?

    Yay!

alphabeta what products are you looking for? I order online for some - I get Bumble+Bumble at Rudy's and the rest is all drugstore.

Most of the products I read about on the site -
    Kenra (which earns raves) especially.

Also, anyone have a stylist who will work with 4A hair (without chemicals?)?

    If you go to
kenra's site and click on salon locator you can find lots of salons in the area. As far as a good salon, I have no idea. icon_sad.gif I'm dreaming of flying off to NYC for the Devachan experience.

What products are you looking for, alphabeta?

For the higher-end stuff, there's Sephora, and there's a store that sells salon products at the Bellevue Square Mall on the Eastside. I'm eastside, so all the stores I know are there. There's a beauty supply at Crossroads Mall that also carries Kenra. And then there's a Sally's Beauty Supply further south that I've found, kinda around IKEA, for other things....

Alphabeta, I'm getting my hair cut on the 24th by my curly hair specialist. I'll ask if she does 4A without chemicals. She's at Gene Juarez downtown.
