What do you all recommend for women who maybe experiencing lots of shedding and think their hair is thinning? Is there a way to encourage less shedding and thickening? Also, for someone who has been threading their eyebrows for a few years and is now experiencing hair loss on eyebrows in "patches?" (Thinks it might be the lotion they put on eyebrows at the threading place)

I've heard some people say scalp massages with certain oils help - what oils? Should women with these issues avoid using sulfate shampoos? Should they especially try henna or protein deep conditioning treatments?

Help! This isn't for me, this is for my mommy. She's freaking out. She's natural and experiencing these issues but doesnt understand why because thinning hair isnt hereditary in our family - even my grandma on her side still has thick hair. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hair loss can be a symptom of many diseases. I have lupus and hair loss is quite common. I lose hair in my eyebrows also.

Hypothyroidism can cause you to lose the tails of your eyebrows.
Best talk to a doctor first and possibly have a complete work up done.

In the mean time, make sure you're getting enough protein and eating a balanced diet. There are certain vitamins that have been shown to help hair loss- Biotin being one of them.

Jessicurl.com sells a stimulating scalp massage oil.
