Curly Afro - definition of a 4a?

Hi everyone!
I'm new here (hence, posting in the newbie section). I've become obsessed with YouTube and various hair blogs in the months before and since my BC (March of this year) and one thing I've noticed is that I rarely see people with hair like mine.

My hair is 3c in the front and sides of my hair, but 4a throughout and in the back of my head. While my hair has a distinct curl pattern, has clumped curls while wet, and still LOOKS like it has defined curls while it's dry (depending on which styling product I use), IT FEELS LIKE AN AFRO.

Haha I definitely don't mind this, I'm just wondering if other people's 4a hair is like this. I feel that this is what makes it hard for me to achieve 2nd day hair with a wash and go. Is it weird that I can have the look of defined curls but not the "feel"? When you other 4as touch your wash and gos, do you feel defined singular curls?
