Hairtype? Help!

Hello all! I'm new to the forum and have been on CG routine for about 3 months, and have not straightened my hair in over a year. So far, so good - I recently moved to Utah and my hair was like straw before I went poo-less.

I am having a bit of an identity crisis though, and I'm hoping someone can help!

I have looked at the curl classification system here and in the CG book, and I have NO CLUE what kind of hair I have. None of the pics or descriptions in either seems to fit.

My hair is pretty think, every stylist I’ve ever gone to has told me that I have “sooo much hair”. My curls are not tight, but I *think* they are more than waves... some are a loopy S and some are a flat S. It is definitely flatter at the roots, and the canopy of my hair is not as curly as the lower layers, which are very spirally. I would post a pic, but I'm not sure how!

My guess is that I'm a mix - 2c/3a. I would love to hear your opinions! Thanks!
*I'm posting this in multiple sections to get more responses, sorry!*

Welcome to SLC and NC! I've been in town about 6 months now and my hair has never looked worse :) I think it's something in the water. 2c/3a sounds about right to me, but seeing it would help.
    Fine Wavy (2a)
Weeklyish shampoo with CO's inbetween to keep down the grease.

Teela, I feel your pain! Like I said in my first post, my hair just felt like STRAW for months after I moved here. I have to use sooooo much conditioner. And I'm sure I don't have to tell you, but drinking water helps! :D

Is your hair close to mine? I consider myself wavy since I can't get any curl when it's short, but it does spiral on the ends when it gets past my ears. I call myself a 2C pretty much all around.

HD, I have a hard time seeing your pic on my computer (it's kinda small) but your hair does look pretty close to mine. My hair was about your length when I was in high school. I'm not sure how it really looked then though, b/c *gasp* I fried it straight every day!
