Still a bit confused here

I've read so much and can't seem to keep track so I was hoping someone could clarify for me.
Are all clarifying shampoos ok to use (or do some have/need surfactants)? How often do do I use a clarifying shampoo?
If I co-wash, does the conditioner have surfactants? what kind of conditioner should I be using?
Can I use a sulfate free shampoo everytime I wash?
What about the styling products? What should they or shouldn't they have?
Is there such a thing as a curl enhancer for a wavy?
Thanks to any advice you can offer.
I'm desperate to get started.:blob4:

For co-washing pretty much any light conditioner that agrees with your scalp will do, as long as it is silicone free. And some do have mild surfactants.
You'll want to avoid silicones in your styling products, unless they are water soluble. I also avoid polyquats, but not everyone does. They tend to build up on my hair but many have no issues with them. And depending on your hair properties there could be other things you'll want to watch out for. If for example your hair is highly porous you might want to avoid glycrine.
You could probably use a sulfate free shampoo everytime you cleanse as long as the one you're using dosen't dry your hair out. Many wavies choose to go the sulfate free shampoo route rather then the co-wash route.
As far as curl enhancers for wavies, there are many to pick from. AG Re:coil, MOP C-curling cream, SS CEJ and DM Miracurl Gelly are a few that spring to mind.
Co-wash: Renpure Body&Shine
RO: Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner
LI/Curl Enhancer: Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner
Other: I'll add a little AG Mousse Gel if I want something extra.
