exactly. so why pass judgement on her? you don't know her or her circumstances. she could be ill, naturally thin and not trying to make a fashion statement.

It's kind of unfair to suggest that because this girl was too thin for your taste that she was unattractive--I'm sure she had something attractive about her. Being attractive is not all about your size--isnt that what overweight people have been saying for years ?

Hi! I'm not sure I understand why you posted this on the fitness board. Are you warning people not to try to get too thin because it doesn't look good? I'm just wondering because I feel like I am missing the point of your post. If you are just looking for comments on skinnyness and its attractiveness/lack of attractiveness, I agree with the posters who said it's a good idea to try not to judge others on their weight & outer appearance. She could be sick or just naturally skinny. You can't really tell without knowing her.

I don't get it.
Me neither. Some people are just very thin naturally. I have friends who are very thin and couldn't gain weight if they tried. That's just the way they look. Being thin naturally and being anorexic are two totally different things.
It is a legitimate concern.

This person could have been ill,or just naturally thin . There are a number of reasons why a person is thin. Not every thin person is a result of striving to be "attractive".

im not judging ppl by their appearances, what im trying 2 say is that some ppl want 2 be really thin b/c they think its attractive(like anorexics)im trying 2 say u shudnt go diet crazy & all b/c if u think being 2 thin is attractive,it just doesnt look 2 nice.

...It sounds like a judgment to me!! IF anyone actually is thinner than you deem "attractive", then it doesnt look nice. We dont even know what this nameless, faceless young girl thinks anyway. That was an assumption--that she dieted down to that size. If you feel attractive at the size you are, then that is all that matters!

And I agree - dieting down to nothing is a bad thing.

that was totally inappropriate - obviously you do, in fact, mean to be rude. next time proofread your responses for content (rudeness) and grammar.

Do you type this way at work or school? I hope not.
My request was made politely. If you can't respond in kind, please don't bother to respond at all.

[QB]darkalluringshadows, I know this seems nitpicking, but can you please type out your words instead of using numbers and other shortcuts? Thanks.

I hope if you have something of major importance to say that you'll type it normally because otherwise I'll miss it altogether. I'm not good at Prince-code.
I give. You win. Type like a misguided 7 year old. I don't care.
Oh, sorry, was that rude?

I agree with you up to the point that unatural thinness is not as as attractive as the person may feel it is....But, anorexia is an illness, which may be triggered by dieting to become thin to look good (as you say), but it can start from many other causes, like stress, peer pressure, depression. You can not label anorexics as those in the wrong because they look unhealthy and not nice to look at to the outsider. Once people have become anorexic, it has gone beyond dieting etc, it is an illness just like a cold or a flu and I think you are confusing people who want to loose weight ('u shudnt go diet crazy & all ') with those who have the illness anorexia, which is much more severe.
