It's pratically impossible for me to tell you your TEXTURE through pics. That would be something that you could probably determine on your own, in order to tell your texture your hair would have to be touched. If your are asking for your curl type then thats a different story, you can sometimes tell that through pics.

But curl type won't help you with how you should be taking care of your hair. You would need to learn your porsitiy, density, and texture. There was an excellent link to an article about how to test your hair for those atributes. I'll go search for it now, hopefully if I find it i'll put the link in your thread

You hair looks great btw, you are doing an excellent job.

That's a well known..well established fact around this board. All hair typing does is show you the curl pattern size. For instance.. 3b curls are Sharpie Magic Marker size, 3c curls are pencil or straw size, 4a is pen spring size, etc. There is no way you can tell what products are best for your hair just by knowing a hair type.

If you are still transitioning and haven't chopped off all the relaxed ends it's virtually impossible to tell texture. Also your hair looks like it has conditioner in it which affects the visual.

Wait for a month or two after you big chop then re-assess. You don't need to know your texture to choose the right products, just how strong (coarse, medium, fine) your hair is and how porous or non porous. Also how much it shrinks.

thanks for everyone's input..I really meant to ask about my hair type I had no idea about different textures but I'm glad I know now...you guys think I'm a 3c?
