Oh okay.. Yeah... first off.. you can't tell what products you should be using in your hair based on hair type.
That's a well known..well established fact around this board. All hair typing does is show you the curl pattern size. For instance.. 3b curls are Sharpie Magic Marker size, 3c curls are pencil or straw size, 4a is pen spring size, etc. There is no way you can tell what products are best for your hair just by knowing a hair type.
For instance, you and another person can have EXACTLY the same hair type (same curl size) but may not be able to use the same products because you have different hair properties.Texture and Porosity is what you need to know to determine the products that are best suited for your hair.
What your actual texture is (texture is the measurement of the circumference of a single hair strand..it's either fine, medium, or thick (which people usually call coarse). And knowing the porosity (how the hair absorbs moisture) which ranges from low, medium, to high. That's what essential to know.
Here is a link to finding out that info:www.livecurlylivefree.com. The website also has an inexpensive e-book (like 10 bucks) that gives even more excellent info about what product ingredients suit which hair properties for curly heads.
You can also learn lots of porosity details from the following post that I made in another thread:http://www.naturallycurly.com/curltalk/showthread.php?t=111453
Just scroll down to my first post in that thread to learn all about porosity.
If you need further help to determine your texture..just let me know and I will be happy to help you out. Once you let me know those 2 things..then I can recommend many products and product ingredients.. LOL!
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.
