Frizz!!

wavyhavawavyhava Posts: 32Registered Users
My curls are beautiful and defined for the first time since I was a kid.. However is there a reason I have a lot of frizz? Do I need longer to adjust to the CG method or am I lacking a product to help control it?

Frizz can be caused by many things. The most common reason for frizz in the first stages of CG is lack of moisture. Your hair needs to catch up from the moisture that was stripped from sulfates. Try using some of your conditioner as a leave in or maybe a bit more leave in then you had been using.
My second guess would be if you have humid weather (dews over 70) and are using gels or leave ins with glycerin.

Same issue over here. Protein and moisture treatments seem to be helping somewhat, but it's still pretty bad. I hope it gets better with time. I envy all the women I see around with sleek, frizz-free hair... they have to deal with the same humidity I do, so that can't be the whole story.

I think it does have to do with not enough moisture. I keep reading about deep treatments but don't know how to do them! haha I searched multiple places and no where gives me step by step instructions. I know I sound like such a newbie.. you all are just so wise :notworthy: lol
