**DISCLAIMER: I HAVE YET TO ORDER OR USE THESE PRODUCTS PERSONALLY**

That said I cannot wait to check them out. I am not a PJ but I believe these products are the business.

Dr Adrienne Carthon, does these "house call videos" where she will go to the home of a natural and do there hair using only her styling products. The videos are legit and basically rough cut. No movie or salon magic.

Check out the FB page /home/leaving?target=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fentwinecouture" class="Popup

The Argan Oil looks like it might be good for scalp massages but I don't think I'd like the other prods...too many butters and oils I think for me.

Hi:wave: HippyChic~ This is Sophie with Entwine~. PrettyDimples did not purchase the products, Dr. A~ sent her the products to try and she also offered her the opportunity to have one-on-one time to discuss the best way to use the products to get the best results, but DP didn't take her up on her offer. The perceived build up was from overuse. The Manipulator is very concentrated and you only need a very little bit of the product to get results. It's not like cheap water-based gel where you have to use a ton to get results...lol...a little goes a loooong way. As you could see on her video, she saturated her hair with the product which will have the perception of buildup.

Her hair tells the true story...her hair had great curl definition, body and a healthy natural shine. If the camera, in poor lighting could pick up the shine and definition, the eye would see even more in person.

Just wanted to share...Thanks for considering us and please let Dr. A or myself know if there is anything we can do to provide support on your natural hair journey. Ciao bella~ Much <3 Sophie

hippychic - 1000% agree. I don't understand why companies also want to imply that a person did not use their products "correctly" and that's why it didn't work. That's insulting and doesn't make any sense. So you're saying that a heavy handed person shouldn't use the products? Got it, I'm heavy handed as all hell, I won't be purchasing.

Hi DerbyCity~ On behalf of Dr. Adrienne, we would like to thank you for sharing our brand information on this forum; and for your interest in trying our products. Please accept this discount code for 20% off any purchase. Product Code- thankyou10

I personally apologize if my response was taken as an insult in anyway, that was not the intention.

We exist because and for women around the world who have chosen to go natural. When Dr. A~ went natural over 18 years ago, during that time she found that there were very few products for styling and caring for natural hair; so she decided to use her knowledge as a natural hair stylist and professor of women and African-American studies to make a difference. Our purpose is to provide information, education and support to women on their natural hair journey. If there is anything we can do to support you or anyone on the forum, please know we are always here.

Thank you so much for being so gracious...I really appreciate it...The main advice I would offer is to know that less is best. We know our products are not the cheapest, so we want to make sure you get the most out of them for your money. When using 'The Manipulator' lightly coat the hair from root to tip. The good thing is our products are very forgiving and even with overuse your hair will absorb any access.

For people who use a lot of different products, beginning with a clarifying shampoo helps as well. Also, I would recommend you base your hair prior to styling with a natural oil like Argan or Jojoba if you have dry hair and finish each style with oil or a shine spray/polish to bring out more shine. If you have extra dry hair, I recommend using the Exotique Butter Crème Hydrator throughout your hair before proceeding with 'The Manipulator' when creating your styles. That would help to seal in moisture and give the hair more shine.

When doing wet or air dried hair, I choose the product (Crème Jellé Styler, Butter Crème Hydrator or Crème De La Mold) based on the desired style, texture of hair and condition of the hair. If you have coarse dry hair, the Creme De La Mold & Exotique Butter Creme work well for styling, where as if you have fine to medium hair textures, 'The Manipulator' with the Argan Oil works well. These simple distinctions can have a major effect on the style outcome. I hope these tips help.

Again, thank you for being so gracious. Please let me or Dr. A know if we can provide any additional support. Email us at questions@entwinecouture.com. Ciao bellas~ Sophie with <3

    Hey,

cool that there is a post on this new line. Actually, I'm not entirely sure how "new" they really are but I'm just hearing about them as of about a month ago. I did see the reviews that PrettyDimples left on her youtube channel and I agree that her results were great with the Entwine products.

Maybe she wasn't wowed by them becase she knows there are a lot of other products that she's tried and maybe already owns that can achieve the same results for her hair.

Anyways, I just wanted to make a comment on the product branding. Since I've yet to try the products It would really help if:

    1) the containers of the different products were branded a little differently so it's easy to know which product is which just by looking at it

    2) the names of the products should actually give people an idea of what the products can do for their hair. All these fancy dancy titles seem good in theory to make the brand seem "high end" but it doesn't do a very good job in giving your brand a lot of outreach because you'll always have to explain what the product is for since the title doesn't reflect it.

Miss Jessie's has this problem too (not with the way the containers look, just the product titles). Like how am I supposed to know what "[buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Miss-Jessies-Baby-Buttercreme-p-575.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=miss-jessies-baby-buttercreme]baby buttercreme[/buylink]" is supposed to do? On the flip side, the Shea Moisture "curl enhancing smoothie" or Kinky Curly "curling custard" is a little more descriptive and it gives people at least an idea of what the product is for and what it's supposed to do for your hair. You'll also notice that most mainstream products are like this, "descriptive titles". So, that would be my only "critique" of the Entwine product line so far but I would like to try the products in the future. I still have a lot of other things on my list to go through first though.

Anyways, what do you guys think?

my opinion is that names of products aren't that significant because they can work in different ways for everyone.

but everything is right on the site so it's not hard for me to figure out what i'd use for a looser style or what i'd use for twists or braids.

As an avid researcher of products before I buy them, the name is basically insignificant to me. I usually buy products based off of their ingredients/consistency, and take their descriptions into account. Like, MJ's has cutesy names for their products, but if you look on the container or their website, it will tell you what the product is commonly used for.

I'm still waiting on a company to make a product JUST for me called, "Elle's Sparkle Fro Surprise."

    lol @ Elle

But ya I guess everything you guys pointed out makes sense. I suppose I'm just being overanalytical about the aesthetics of the product since I haven't actually tried it. And ya, definitely all the products (even MJs) have enough description to know what they're for I suppose, again just my analysis from a branding/ marketing perpective.

namely, the butter-creme and the oil. However, it is reinforced time and again via countless resources that non-water-based products do not moisturize, e.g. butters and oils. So, I would like an explanation as to how the products offer moisturizing benefits.

Totally agree with going off of how my hair feels (my hair doesn't really like coconut oil even if everyone else lurvs it, sad face), but could it be that your hair felt moist b/c it was already moisturized and the coconut oil sealed it in?

i dont know. i just washed and conditioned. im trying to see how...nah cause even when i leave my hair nekkid it starts feeling special. even when i flat iron my hair, if it feels special i put on coconut oil and it feels better.

it does SOMETHING with moisture cause girl when i used that vatika oil...it was dead of winter and i was going into church..to boot it was windy and the freezing wind FROZE my hair into place! i was like wtf then mommy (my SO's mommy) pointed out that the coconut oil had my hair so moisturized, and that moisture solidified for a hot (not literally) second lol.

so i dont know if it really moisturizes, or if it can or cant' but my hair loves that stuff.

btw girl i read your other post and you have me CRACKING up tonight, and i need that laugh girl cause i been sad since i came home. my godmommy died two days ago and i came home and saw her picture on the counter and been boohooing ever since.

You should cook with it!!! I made a DC with avocado, coconut milk, yogurt and lemon juice and honestly, I couldn't stop eating it...it was only so so on my hair but it was a bomb a$$ dip!

I may revisit the oil I haven't used it alone since Izzy was a wee one.

And there we go hijacking the thread again, lol...
