I thought I'd try the above again, since it had no ammonia even though I didn't even like the blonde colors; I like golden and my hair is beigy now UGH!!!. Don't know what the he** is in it but I haven't had any curls since. I did protein treatment before and a DT and let it rest for a few days after color and still, hair is straight as a poker. I've used Garnier and ION color and after a few days curls came back. I want no parts of color with no ammonia from now on. Something else is in there to permanently affix color, but it can't be good; well doesn't agree with my hair anyway. Did another protein treatment two days after and still no curl.... UGH!!!
Homemade FSG, CK, KCCC and BRHG. Co wash w/Suave, or soap bars (occasionally) or Come Clean (Kinky Curly).

I use color silk all the time. It has never effected my curls though. I generally just enrich my natural brunette shade so perhaps it's the blonde shades- those tend to do much more damage. My curls are normally soft and smooth after coloring with color silk. I hope you find something that works better- and that your curls come back soon!

Who knows, maybe it's over conditioned. I've been doing PT's before the dye and after -- every day is different with this hair UGH!!!

I also use Revlon colorsilk (brown black #20) all the time. It's probably the only non CG product I use and the results are fantastic. My hair always feels well conditioned after coloring. In fact, it feels so well conditioned, I suspect if you are already over conditioned, you may need extra, extra PT to perk those curls back up. I hope you find something suitable!

Do those of you who use it, use the Conditioner that comes with it -- I did. Maybe THAT's it.....

I totally believe that's the culprit. I DO use the conditioning packet. In fact, before I went *mostly* CG, I stalked the packet to find it in a bigger bottle because I found it so very conditioning. Perhaps if you didn't use the packet and substituted another conditioner, you would find greater success.

Oh honey, I searched far and wide for this conditioner. To my dismay I could NOT find a product with the exact same ingredients. When i emailed Revlon they directed me to Revlon Colorsilk Intensive Conditioner For All Color Treated Hair. I found it on ebay. It only comes in 4 oz bottles (that I'm aware of). I was terribly excited upon receipt of the purchase only to compare ingredients and find they weren't identical. Same fragrance, similar performance although not quite as good. In so far as deep conditioning for color treated hair, the little packet is the best.

When something works, I go on a mission to search until I find it. Thx for sharing...

I decided to try Revlon Colorsilk® and I had a great time using the product. It lightened my 3b curls to a medium brown and didn't reduce the size of my curls or leave my hair feeling a different texture. It makes my hair look so natural, and it blended seamlessly with my salon brown hair color I've been getting for over a year. No one even noticed that I died it. This product is so good that I'm going to start dying my own hair from now on. Kudos to Revlon®:headbang:
