EW & Barbra Streisand

EW's Chris Nashawaty wrote a review of the 1976 movie "A Star is Born" which is now out on DVD. This is from the Dec. 1st issue.
Maybe the best place to begin is the hair. Okay-now, how to put this nicely? Her frizzy perm is a freakin' train wreck. It looks like Vidal Sassoon and Medusa had a love child and that child proceeded to puke on her head.

    HOW RUDE!

    To Chris Nashawaty,
You look like a nerd with a big, ugly, nose so I have no idea what your talking about.

Yeah, I read that this week and was like " "

I liked her little 70's fro. I think it's cute on her.

I want hair like that! I've always been jealous of those who have the ability to have a 'fro - I LOVE the effect of "statement hair."

And the comment - that was just rude and ignorant. It seems that people just can't get enough of bashing someone, and curlies have been the target of choice for a long time.

That was a bash on her ethnicity, and religious background, pure and simple. I happen to love her curls, and I don't see the frizz, like that fool did, deal with it. Some of the most beautiful women in the world have curls and we love our curls.

I don't see frizz either. My bf and I got into it because he thought the comment was funny and that her hair WAS frizzy. Grr.

Hmmm, I'm not a big fan or Barb or her hair, but the train wreck comment was mean and uncalled for! I'm not seeing all that much frizz either, just curly hair styled in a way that happened to be popular during that time period.

I thought her hair was adorable. And that's not even a perm, is it? I thought Barbra was a curly girl.
