Scared!

So my whole life I have been defined by my hair. Even now I always get at least on compliment about my hair if I go in public. So, I dont know what to do thinking my hair will not be so great soon. I have a little bit of a receding hairline. It isnt so bad right now...only the widow peak has thinned. But I dont know what to do I am devasted.
I know my thyriod has yo-yo'd between hyo and normal, so I am going to get it checked again. NO ONE in my family has hair loss...not even my dad. I am only 25...what am I going to look like in 10 years.
How can i ever recover if it gets bad...this is the one thing about me people tell me is beautiful often.

Good Luck :blob:
This is me. I have never been a cutiepie, but my hair has gotten compliments over the years, pretty much my main feature to get compliments, other than my hands and feet (when I was slim). I've got hypo, too, and I go through shedding phases. But ever since I hit my forties, it got worse. Sucks.
My mom never had much thinning until she was dying. My father made it to a couple weeks shy of turning 90 with no receding hairline and only minimal thinning and some graying.
But, my niece has alopecia and my sister lupus which sometimes causes her hair to drop out in patches.
I hate that my one good feature is sapping away...
Anyway, I didn't have any rosemary, but I made an MSM/sage concoction and put that on my scalp, then some condish. I'm sitting here letting it perk up there then will wash before bed. I also started taking Biotin and Flaxseed combo today (I had taken it on and off, but not faithfully). I also need to get faithful with the zinc (which I do tend to be dietarily deficient in). I wish I could take the MSM and the UltraNourishair, but can't, so I'm gonna see if I can tolerate it as a scalp paste when I precondish.

BTW....
whats msm?
It's a shorthand for some long chemical name of a sulfur containing compound. It's supposed to be excellent for skin, joints, and hair. GNC's Ultra Nourshair, which has given excellent results to many folks with thinningh air, has it and biotin. I was taking MSM capsules for my knees (bad knees), but I had an allergic reaction and had to stop. I was hoping it would help my hair, too. So, I can't even take the Nourshair cause it has the MSM.
I don't remember the exact chemical name, but a google will give it up.

I'm hypothyroid and am trying hard to stabilize my levels....had a lot of stress this past summer which made things even worse ...and am on meds that cause hair loss. People have always commented on my curls but now I worry a lot about them commenting on being able to see through my curls!! You've given good advice on use volume and I was wondering if with volumizing products ...is it shampoo, conditioner and styling products that should all be volumizing. In your opinion does volumizing shampoo/conditioner help much? I'm going to buy the Ultranourishair tomorrow and try that.
