Tales of a battered beaten curlie

hello everyone!

I just joined a few days ago and I just wanted to introduce myself. I had gorgeous 2b/3a curls when I was young and that turned straight while in elementary school. In middle school I went to a prep school in india and we had to wear our hair in two braids.

Fast forward to highschool in the USA and i bought a straightener. Straightened my hair for 4 years of high school and 3 years of college. Hair now looks like a fried..straw like material. It's more wavy now but I am campaigning to bring back the 2b/3a curls I had!!:blob:

I came upon the Curly girl method of hair care a few days ago on e-how and then found this site to my greatest pleasure!!!!!!!!!!
Starting CG tomorrow and so happy to have found people tired of hair-abuse.

I will see you all around the forum and hopefully post a successful cg success story down the line !:toothy1:

Welcome! :wave:Although I'm not in college (I'm just starting high school), I can really relate with you..... my parents are Indian and my mom braided my hair every single day until 6th grade! My dad STILL yells at me for wearing my hair down :cwm10: .. hehe
Wishing you all the very best in your curly endeavors!
