I love to paint my nails and my fav colors are variations of pink! Can anyone suggest some nail polish brands that are sparkly pink and remain on your nails for a pretty good amount of time?

Almost every brand has a "sparkly pink" of some sort, especially when spring and summer collections are out, like now. You should check ULTA, Trade Secret, Sally's, etc. for ideas and to compare.

As for how durable any brand is, a lot depends on wearing base and top coat. A lot of it is trial and error until you find what works best for you. I didn't used to wear base or top coat with light colored polish (that used to be all I wore) and my manis only lasted 2-3 days before chunks of polish came off.

Consider checking out the nailboard at www.makeupalley.com. I learned sooo much from the ladies over there. They are nail polish addicts and very helpful. :)

I really like O.P.I. nail polish. It's $8 or $9 a bottle, but I use this when I do my all-out-at-home-manicures. When I don't have $8 or $9 to spend on nail polish I buy "Pure Ice" brand out of walmart for $2 or so. It's just as good. The higher end of nail polish, the longer it will stay on and the better your manicure will look.

Essie is famous for its sheers/pinks, but their formulas are really hit or miss for me.

Ulta has their salon formula on sale for $2 right now, usually $5...and I love it. Have lots of colors.

Warning, if you have your hands in water a lot...ain't NOTHING going to stay on long no matter how well you do it ;D I'm working part time for a mobile pet groomer as the bather/dryer...thinking about learning to do the pads/nails, etc.

OPI and Orly are my favorites for quality, but Sally Hansen is good for cheap, quick color.
"And politically correct is the worst term, not just because it’s dismissive, but because it narrows down the whole social justice spectrum to this idea that it’s about being polite instead of about dismantling the oppressive social structure of power.
Fun Fact: When you actively avoid being “PC,” you’re not being forward-thinking or unique. You’re buying into systems of oppression that have existed since before you were even born, and you’re keeping those systems in place."

I am an OPI fan, hands down.
If I (or my 4 year old daughter) want to try a trendy color, we will get the 99 cent Sally Girl mini nail polishes from Sally Beauty. They seem to work better than drugstore brands.
-No matter what brand color polish I use, though, I always use an OPI base and top coat. If you arent willing to spend 8-9 bucks a pop on your colors, at least spend that much on the OPI base & tops, because they really are worth the money.
CG since 04/10 and loving it!

If you can find it online...China Glaze Strawberry Fields from last spring is a beautiful sparkly pink. I love it.

My current fave is Sephora ($9). This stuff does not chip at all! I don't have any pink color recommendations. My current toe color is Mermaid to Order (a blue/green). It's fun for summer.

I love sparkly nail polish especially light pastel colors! My favorite drugstore brand is: Sally Hensen Diamond Strength No Chip Nail Color.

    Favorite colors that sparkle:
    • Diamonds
    • Champagne toast (awesome pale blush sparkle)
    • Platinum
    • Brilliant Blush (gorgeous soft pink small sparkles)
    • Pink Promise (another gorgeous pink sparkle)

OPI. However, the trick of long-lasting nail polish is in the technique of application, and using a base and a top coat.
