Hair Rules?!

Hi Everyone,
Has anyone tried "Hair Rules" yet? I've seen the teeny weeny bottle in Ulta and gasped when I saw the price 9$! I was thinking to myself, with all my coarse hair... that may last me 1 week tops!!!

Anyone try it? Did it work for you?

Which product were you thinking of using? I've used the kinky curly cream as well the conditioner. I like the kinky curly cream because it does define my curls. I usually order directly from the hair rules website. I'm not sure how the price differs, if at all, from Ulta. But you're right in that the price is a little steep.

Yes, I would probably use the kinky, since I just checked their website and it looks their curly line products have protein in them... I'm protein sensitive..

OK, so you tried, would you use again?

i checked these out @ Ulta when I saw them here on NC and thought I'd try them out......until I saw the price. They were so expensive I was kind of insulted! For real!

Yes, I could have sworn it was $9 at Ulta for the little bottle, and that was insulting enough.... on Curlmart it's $20?!!! What? Ummm, is it liquid gold? LOL :-O :-)

Thanks empressi for the video review of [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Hair-Rules-Curly-Whip-p-902.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Hair-Rules-Curly-Whip]curly whip[/buylink]. Your hair looked great! Probably wouldn't look so great on me because I'm protein sensitive! :(

Is this the only product of Hair Rules you tried?

    Thanks! :)

I also recommend the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Hair-Rules-Curly-Whip-p-902.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Hair-Rules-Curly-Whip]Curly Whip[/buylink]. I picked up both [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Hair-Rules-Kinky-Curling-Cream-p-909.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Hair-Rules-Kinky-Curling-Cream]Kinky Curling Cream[/buylink] and the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Hair-Rules-Curly-Whip-p-902.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Hair-Rules-Curly-Whip]Curly Whip[/buylink] in 2oz 10 (w/tax) sizes. I got mine from my local Blue Mercury. But I did see the line in Ulta but they were sold out of the 2oz size @ the time I was there.

The [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Hair-Rules-Kinky-Curling-Cream-p-909.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Hair-Rules-Kinky-Curling-Cream]Kinky Curling cream[/buylink]....I hate to say reminded me of Lusters Pink Oil lotion on MY hair. It smells great. It made my looser crown area frizzy. So that's a no go for me. But I love the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Hair-Rules-Curly-Whip-p-902.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Hair-Rules-Curly-Whip]Curly Whip[/buylink]. That is the crown jewel product of that line IMO. I also like the Cleansing Conditioning cream. I also posted my review on LHCF. Every time I use the cleansing cream....I pretend I'm in that beautiful bathroom in the Hair Rules video! LOL

    HTH

ETA: I also tried out the finishing cream. I did not like that either, unfortunately. I will be exchanging it for more cleansing condish.

    Empress..great vid review!

    Hi!

I tried the HR kinky styling cream over [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Knot-Today-p-207.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-knot-today-leaveindetangler]Kinky Curly Knot Today[/buylink] leave in, and the cream curdled up all over my head! :cwm10:I had to wash and start again, and I used a different styler. I have been using the hair rules on my son's hair- his hair is 4c and loving it! I was wondering what leave in other ladies are using with the HR styling cream. I was also thinking that since I am growing out a texturizer, maybe it was too thick for my hair? One last thing- the ingredients say it contains petrolatum, and cones, i think...is anyone having problems with build up? Thanks!-pj

that he was coming out with his own line. I actually have his book "Hair Rules" that he published back in the day. I'm a recovering product junkie so I haven't tried it because I have too many containers of crap in my apartment that I can't seem to get rid of! No more buying for me...anyway, I haven't tried it because the ingredients are garbage. I just can't stomach petroleum jelly on my hair or mineral oil...the ingredients just aren't quality enough for me to excuse the cost. I don't mind silcones, but mineral oil....petroleum jelly? No dice.
