Protein free conditioners

I thought this new protein-sensitive section would be a great place to have a list of protein-free conditioners. Here are the ones I'm using right now.

    Great Thread!

My hair is protein sensitive and i'm using biolage hydratherapie conditioning balm right now.

I'm not 100% sure it is low in protein, though.

p.s. a great hair gel for protein sensitive hair is pantene curls gel.

Is wheat germ oil not a protein? It's pretty high up in on the AOHR ingredients list...
I really like the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moisturizing condish. Awesome :)

Wheat germ oil is not a protein, but wheat germ is. For reasons I can't actually explain, oils don't carry the protein. AOHR is definitely protein-free.

CJCR is protein free, as is JCWDT, and I believe that SSDD is as well. Biolage conditioning balm and all the knock offs of it are as well.

Oils are protein free. Just look at the nutrition label of your cooking oils.

That being said, some people just don't react well to it.

Also, I think it has jojoba, which can contain some protein. AOHR may be better places in a low protein category similar to TooShea.

I tolerate AOHR well, but not everyone does.

I get oils are protein free BUT in this thread http://www.naturallycurly.com/curltalk/showthread.php?t=85590
Aubrey themselves called the person to MAKE SURE she understood their AOHSR is not protein free
For me it works great and I wanted it to be my staple moisturizing conditioner BUT for me I think I have to keep in mind the difference between staying away from protein and just needing something extremely moisturizing. If I use too much protein I will get breakage so therefor I have to find a cone & protein free dc I'm thinking of jessicurl but the price after shipping on either site kinda hurts lol

I still believe that the CSR was in error about the oil. The percentage they gave was for whole wheat germ. The oil cannot be that, so they are either using the whole germ, or they are wrong about the content of the oil, which, by scientific definition is protein free.

That being said, it does have jojoba, which is technically a wax, and does have protein.

I consider AOHR to be low-protein and oil heavy. Oil heavy is *very* drying to some.
