Homemade Shampoo Recipes

I'm looking for a new shampoo and just decided that I should just make it myself. I read some info on castille soap and how to make shampoo. What are your experiences or ideas??

This is the recipe I found:
Boil 3 cups water, steep 1/2-1 cup of herbs (rosemary)
10-12 drops of jojoba oil or olive oil
two-thrids herbal infusion to one-third castille coap

I just made a very similar recipe. I used 1/3 castile soap, 1/3 olive oil, 1/3 strong sage tea, 7 drops rosemary oil, and 10 drops tea tree oil (I have some scalp issues). It was a bit hard to shake up, but seemed to work alright.
Averages out at 2b, ranges from 1c to 3a, very fine
    Mane 'n Tail co-wash + leave-in

    Clarifying shampoo every few weeks

I always use less of the castile soap because its very drying and stripping to the hair for me.

I usually use castile soap, honey, glycerin, olive oil and a little chunck of black soap. I put it in a bottle and let melt down, shake it up and call it a day.

I've tried castile soap. You do have to add to it because it can be drying. Next, I am going to try making some black soap shampoo. The recipe is here:
