    hi! i have yet to find a serum without cones, but using 100% argan oil when styling and adding honey to pre-poo and conditioner has decreased frizz and added a lot of shine to my hair.
    Style: Twists as protective style for winter, occassional bantu twist outs.
    Weekly: Preepoo w/ rosemary water, honey, coco oil and castor oil. Wash w/ KBB conditioning poo, condition with KBB moisturizing conditioner. Twist with KBB Sweet Ambrosia, Shea and dab of castor oil.
    Monthly:KBB Luscious Locks DT. Terressentials detox left hair significantly softer and shinier, now use to wash once every 2 months.

    Veggie glycerin will only work for you if you don't have highly porous hair. Otherwise, the hair will likely go poof. lol ESPECIALLY if it's humid.

    Blended Beauty, I believe, has a serum that's cone-free. You may want to check them out.

    my hair is super extra porous (from all the coloring) and its humid year round where i live, and it still works for me.

    Deva has a nice shine serum called Mirrorcurls.

    I tried it and my hair was shiny but felt wierd, kind of stiff.

    Glycerine is the absolute enemy of definition and hold for my porous head.
    4a coily with a bit of 3c near the front.
    Shampoo: Blended Beauty Soy Cream, Deva Low Poo
    Conditioner: varies, especially if not doing a leave-in/styler
    Leave in: Jessicurl Aloeba Daily
    Styler: KCCC + Gloss Pomade

    What about just pure hexane free castor oil ? It works so much like a serum on my hair I have to actually cut the stuff with olive oil.
