Got any ideas to help spam this forum?

Tee hee. But seriously, I'm just curious if people outside of Hawaii and Japan eat this stuff.

I've competed in Spamarama 2 years in a row with a good friend of mine.

Year 1 I did a carribean inspired sushi roll. Fried spam with avocado green onion and fried plantain and a spicy lime dipping sauce.

Year 2 i made a neopolitan bannana split: 1 scoop each of spam puree, yucca w/garlic, and black bean puree on fried plantains.

Those sound really intriguing. The few times I've seen this iconic canned meat, it's been fried and served with pineapple, usually in a sandwich. It's definitely not big in my area.

That sounds really good. I'm going to have to try making it.

I'm really no good with spam receipes, Basically Spam just sits in the cupboard until I'm too lazy to really cook anything or if I don't have any meat in the freezer. I basically mix it with spanish rice for a quick meal or brown it and serve it with eggs on a sandwich.
