If you could get any curly hair product, brand or gadget here in Australia what would it be and why??

personally I have a whole list I would like to try, if it wasn't for crazy shipping prices.

I have lots too. I see a picture on here that looks similar to my hair and looks really awesome but then I look at what she used and you can't buy any of the products here :sad10:

I wouldn't mind trying that kinky custard stuff, since it seems every second person on here uses it.

I have some sitting around. I loved it when my hair was longer, I've been using it on my braids etc to help hold them in. I can send you a sample if you like - PM if you're interested. However, it is a bout a year and a bit old. Getting to the end of it's shelf life, so may act a little different. It will give you an idea of how it works. The one thing I hate about it is it make my hair take FOREVER to dry.

I'm curious about that KCCC stuff too. It looks alright, but it seems like everything that looks 'alright' isn't available here :(

As I have mentioned before, I would love to try the Deva products. Hopefully they may be available here soon.

LOL, I can just imagine if I travelled to the US, I would be in heaven, lmao

I've tried suave, I would relate it to our pears. It's a cheap, relatively light conditioning wise, readily available, and comes in different sizes (family size is good!), a range of scents are available and did I say it was cheap?? (I've heard people get it for $1)

I've tried an apple one and a tropical coconut. Both were decent co-washes. They didn't blow me away or anything.

I with you on the shopping. I think I'd also get my hair done all the time over there. Wouldn't have to always get it cut, just get curly stylists cut or just purely style my hair. So I could try different product ranges and maybe learn a few more styling tricks. Plus I LOVE being pampered.

it's nice to dream. Hopefully once i'm finished uni and qualified I will be able to get a job in the US and pay my way around for a bit :D plus lots of hair goodies.. and shopping. A friend just got back for NY... should see all the lovely things she bought!!! With the aussie $ so high, it's so CHEAP. Their prices are crazy cheap compared to here.

My sister in law lives in the US and is visiting Australia atm. She bought me some KCCC and I used it 2 days ago. THIS STUFF IS FANTASTIC!. I have been CG for about 6 months and have never had such great hair. Second day hair was even better. I just hope I get consistently good results as I have read that some people find subsequent usage has not been so effective. Anyway, I'm frizz free and very curly atm which is great for me.
    3a. iii medium porosity.
    JC, FSG, Matrix Biolage hydratherapie,
    Giovanni 5050, KCCC

    All CJ products

I do find KCCC good also. It really enhances curl for me. However I am finding atm that I need extra hold over the top as once it dries and I scrunch out crunch my curls/waves drop. :(

I would love to try KCCC......BUT, I don't want to spend too much on it. I can't stand the thought of my hair taking too long to dry, and with my hair being and fine as it is I recon it would be too heavy for my hair and pull my waves out.

I would also love to try the Deva and JC gear.
Type: Guessing a 2a, fine, thin and med to high porosity. Highlighted, almost shoulder length
    Wash: Co, Tresemme Naturals Moisturising
RO: Sukin Nourishing, Giovanni Smooth as silk moisturising.
Style: Home made snotty FSG and Fructis Hard Gel.

    I really wan't to K.I.S.S.

My hair is fine and I find it to give nice enhancement but as I said above need more hold.

I could send you a sample - bare in mind I believe mine is now past the recommended shelf life. I haven't noticed any differences in preformance though.

I really want to try CJ products but it's too hard to get my hands on right now. And out of my budget

Thanks CWG, I am a little scared I would love it though then have to buy a tub LOL. I think I am better off not knowing what I am missing.

I forgot I went through a phase where I was obsessed with "bumpits". I never made the plunge though.
