Brazilian Keratin Treatment

Hey Everyone,

I'm transitioning to natural (6 months so far without a perm), and someone recently told me about the Brazilian Keratin treatment. Any thoughts? Anyone ever get this treatment and if so, how did you feel about the results?

Hi, naturalQTpie...

I want to stop relaxing my hair. My mother, on the other hand, says that I should continue because my hair will be "unmanageable". We've all heard that before, right? :glasses1:

I'm biracial, with hair that is very kinky but fine and delicate...either 3c or 4a. I'm not quite sure.

She had the Brazilian treatment done recently and loves it. Her hair looks nice, but it is very flat. She is now trying to talk me into it.

I'm sick of spending money to relax my hair...I definitely do not want to spend $160 to have my hair straightened by this new treatment. I want to be natural, but I don't receive much support from anyone.

I'm sorry if this isn't helpful. My mom loves it and she says positive things about it. She likes the fact that it cuts down on frizz, because we live in Florida where the weather is miserably hot.

I'm sure it works differently on different hair types.
