How do I make a moisturizing shampoo??

The only shampoo recipes I can find use castile soap but that's too drying and a bit strong. Do you guys have any recipes that have worked for you?
- don't let everybody elses long straight weave bum you out. don't let other people's big/long natural hair bum you out either. embrace what you have and rock it with confidence, because that's the only way you'll be happy. and whether you realize it or not you are somebody's influence. show them what it truly means to be confident.

I can tell it doesn't strip my hair because now I can't use anything else :confused3: By comparison even the mildest stuff makes me go eww.
I haven't quite decided if that's a good thing or bad, but I'm going with it :dontknow:
I added a wee bit of dried coconut milk to the mix and this morning, tried it with a wee bit of guar gum and it has incredible slip, and moves like pancake batter.
I've been using Ritha to wash my hair for a little over a month now and I can't think of any drawbacks except for that of preservation.
No matter for me though cause I just make a huge batch, then freeze in small increments. I plan to eventually do something about that though but I haven't yet gotten that far :read2:

But, because I can't leave anything alone, I added more ingredients...
I took an empty 4-oz bottle and filled it about halfway with Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree Oil Castille Soap and added some glycerin, some jojoba oil (even though it already has some, it's not enough), and because I have seborrhea, I also added some aloe vera gel and a couple drops each of neem, chamomile and vitamin E.
Though I don't measure anything (I cook like Julia Child!), it helped my itchy head and it didn't dry out my hair.

The health food store in my small, country town does not have African soap and I forgot to ask about Castille soap. Where can I find them for a reasonable price? How much?
I am partial to Dr. Wood's soaps because they are about $8 per 32 oz. as compared to Dr. Bronner's which are about $14 per 32 oz. where I live.
