Which Meow Cosmetics shade do you wear?

I'm thinking of giving the brand a go again. If you're a Meow user, which shade do you wear?

    i wear fierce sphynx...it is perfect for me.

    here are is something i got off the site (from the forums i think) when i was trying to figure out sample shades...it really helped me narrow the color choices. also they say mineral makeup, and meow in general is "forgiving" meaning if you pic a slightly different shade it probably won't look horrible on you skin. fierce mau was my second best match and wasn't bad either, just not as perfect as the fierce sphynx.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    MAC Undertones Conversion:
    - W: very cool, pinkish (Chausie, Himalayan)
    - NW: cool, pinkish beige (Sphynx, Persian, possibly Bengal as well)
    - N: neutral, beige (Bengal, Siamese, Ocicat, probably Mau)
    - NC: warm, golden beige (Korat, Abyssinian, Chartreux)
    - C: very warm, olive/yellow tones (Angora, Manx)
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Jen's descriptions
    Siamese: Neutral (not alot of undertones)
    Mau: Warm - Pink/Yellow undertone but with a slight beige
    Sphynx: Peach but with pink and beige to it
    Chartreux: True apricot. Peach with yellow
    Persian: Peach but with pink to it
    Himalayan: Slight pink undertone to it not really much beige
    Chausie: Cool foundation with a touch of pink but with beige to it.
    Bengal: Cool beige foundation
    Angora: True translucent creamy yellow
    Abyssinian: Yellow but with beige to it
    Korat: Light golden but with beige to it, also leans towards the golden olive side
    Ocicat: Olive with yellow/beige but leans more towards a green olive
    Manx: Yellow with just a touch of apricot/peach and beige

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Undertone descriptions:
    Warm - generally yellow/peach/pink (Mau, Sphynx)
    Peach - mix of yellow/pink (Persian)
    Apricot - mix of peach/yellow (Chartreux)
    Golden - yellow and beige (Abyssinian, also Korat, maybe also Manx)
    Beige - beige is how much brown is added to a foundation, example of a beige foundation is (Bengal)
    Neutral - no real obvious yellow, pink or peach undertones. Sometimes a mix of all three. (Siamese) is considered a warm neutral
    Cool - pink/purple undertone (Chausie) what I consider a cool pink
    Pink - pink undertone (Himalayan) this is a warm pink
    Yellow - creamy yellow, not a lemon! (Angora)
    Olive - two different olives a warm olive (Korat) and a cool olive (Ocicat)
    a dreamy pisces :fish:
    I've never used the line, but I'm so happy to see that they have a shade range with green undertones (Ocicat). My skin has green undertones, and it's so hard to find foundations that don't look orange on me.
    Sweet, we're olive-skinned buddies!
    I do well with Make Up Forever's Face and Body Makeup in 20, which has beige undertones. But I think that's partly because it has sheer coverage. They're a good brand, in terms of the range foundation shades they offer.
    I'm not a user yet (my package is on it's way) but on the site, they compare BE (bare escentuals--which I've been using for 3 yrs) to theirs and they say if you wear Deep, you should choose mau or sphynx. I've been wearing makeup for a while (and I also used to do mary kay consulting) and I know I tend to be in the dark-darkest range so I chose slinky and independent in the Mau and Sphynx breeds to sample. I hope my color is one of them
    if you post a pic of your skin maybe we can help better. do you wear other makeup and what shade?
    Frisky Bengal. It's a light, cool beige.
    Thanks for the color charts, LuvMyLocs!
    I currently have Smashbox HD Foundation in Medium M4 (too orangey); Becca tinted moisturizer in Bamboo (too pinky gray); and when I've used Mac NC42 or NC45 it was too orangey too.
    Since you note that all your makeup is too orangey, your undertone might be yellow with just some peach (or non at all). So I would recommend
    Chartreux 3 or 4
    Manx 3 or 4 (might be too yellow, but no harm in trying)
    Korat 3 or 4 (beige)
    Abyssinian 3 or 4 (yellow/beige)
    see which ones you like. the site also has further recommendations based on the breed. Your range should be 3-4
    Thanks Coily! I don't think I have any peach in my skin, actually I see a lot of green. :( I wonder if Meow's olive tones are green enough?
    Oh and could you please delete my photos from your post? I'm going to delete them from my post soon too. Thanks!!
    Oh, then definitely try the ocicat breed!!
    I was going off of the shades you said you wore (and trying to correct some) but definitely try some of those and the ocicat breed level 3 (4 might be too dark, but you can try)
    the samples are only $1 so you can try a whole bunch to find your perfect shade (or combination of shades!)
    Good luck let us know how it goes and what you end up trying
    I love Meow minerals.
    As someone mentioned, the shades are very forgiving. I can wear about 4 different colors and they all look good.
    My best match is Frisky Manx with Naughty Manx. It is described as yellow/peach.
    I can also wear Siamese (neutral), Mau (warm), Abssynian (golden yellow), and Sphynx
    Frisky Korat or Siamese in winter. Naughty Korat or Siamese if I've had a little sun (that's all I ever get any more). I can use either family, but Korat's maybe slightly better on me.
    I've been wanting to try Meow but I haven't had the money yet. Hopefully by the end of next week, I'll have enough money to order some samples!
    Finally got my Meow samples last week! So far I've tried the Slinky Sphynx and Fierce Sphynx and I'm leaning towards Slinky. I also got samples of Fierce and Slinky Mau but I'm not sure that I need them. I also got a bunch of egyptian treasures eyeshadow samples. Right now I'm wearing Giza :love5:
    Thinking about trying a munchkin size of the Naughty Manx shade, medium/heavy coverage.
    Is anyone else a little annoyed at the overly complicated system, having to remember what shade corresponds to what breed, what cutesy "pampered puss"-type coverage level, and what undertone? It's hard to remember, especially when you're trying to figure out your shade. </rant>
    2c/3a with 2b underlayer. Fine, porous. Loves protein. But not hydrolized wheat protein. Yuck.
    Wash: WEN Sweet Almond Mint or Pomegranate
    Gels: LA Looks Sport Gel
    Mousse: Tigi Catwalk Curlesque
    Curling creams/gellies: Coffee Coco Curling Cream Lite, Spiral Solutions Curl Enhancing Jelly, Curls Gel-les'c
    SOTC: JC N&S (LOVE)
    I am thinking of trying Meow. I want more opaque coverage, but I'm concerned that Flawless formulas may look/feel too heavy. Does anyone get decently opaque coverage from Pampered formulas alone in just 1 layer? Needless to say, I need to try at least 1 sample in both formulas.
    I am overwhelmed by the color choices. To the point that I just can't decide what my correct shade or tone is. So I keep delaying my sample order.
    Also, is one sample bag in a shade enough for only 1 application, or can you use it a few times? Because then I am thinking that I need to order 2 bags (the max, I know) since I can never decide with just one wearing of a shade.
    I wear Jane Iredale Satin in loose powder; JI Radiant in pressed powder. I think the Satin ends up being too orange on me by the end of the day.
    Maybe on a BE forum I can find my equivalent (JI to BE) and then pick my shade in Meow from that. I will appreciate any recommendations or advice!
    I can only speak to the quantity issue. When I got samples of Meow, they gave enough for several uses.
