Just wondering. I'm searching for a good heat protectant to use, but there are so many, and I'm confused! Which one do you use and/or recommend? Preferably available at Sally's and/or drugstores.

I have 3 heat protectors that I use. 2 are drugstore, and the other one you can get at ULTA, and its still only like, $7.50.

The first one is Paul Mitchell Seal and Shine. It looks like this:

The second one is L'Oreal Paris Studio Heat Seeker Hot Straight Straightening Cream. This one has a heat protector and a straightening balm, so straightening will be easier to begin with. Looks like this:

The last one is Tressemme Heat Tamer Spray. It looks like this:

My favorite is the Paul Mitchell spray because it also contains a light leave in. The L'Oreal one can also be used on dry hair to keep frizzzzzz down (does not say this on the bottle, I discovered it one day on accident). The L'Oreal and PM ones are both supposed to be used on damp hair, so I spread them through after I get out of the shower and I brush them through and part my hair.

    HTH!

My never fail combo is Infusium 23 Leave In Conditioner on wet hair (be generous) & abt 3 pumps of Redken Smooth Down heat glide on hair before flat ironing. I got both from Target.. the infusium is watery, dont doubt it though! Ive flat ironed my hair without the infusium & got terrible split ends as a result.
Also, recently i tried Jane Carter leave in by itself and got great results.. also found at Target!
