"hot mess we'd like to forget" ....oh.no. they.didn't!

Her hair looks decent, wtf, I mean her face looks a bit rough in the picture, that could be the hot mess, but they're obviously talking about her hair since the topic is about her Mane.

thinking about it that you don't look in the mirror, really? REALLY? grrr this just pissed me off.

Why do we care what a man with his head shaved BALD has to say about a woman's hair, straight or curly?
I think the point of these type of shows is to create a "need" in someone's mind, that will cause them to spend some money.

    +1

The sad thing is there are plenty of young women who hear comments like his, or read articles, or watch shows like that, and see that they don't match up to that standard and then want to change themselves to try and fit into some cookie-cutter mold that society is setting as the 'new standard' for beauty.

So people put themselves through chemical processes, get into debt trying to keep up with the "hottest" trends, and their self-esteem plummets. One of my favorite articles in Marie Claire magazine is the "What I Love About Me" article, and they go to different parts of the US and stop women on the street and ask them, What do you love about yourself? It's refreshing to read women say that they love their nose, hair, freckles, etc., and it's also refreshing to see that in a magazine.

I can only hope that in the future years there is a backlash against the over-processing and ridiculous standards in the beauty industry and that there will be a movement to embrace ourselves as we are.
