Another UK newbie!

Hey All!
I'm a UK-based newbie. I've also been lurkin and learnin for a few weeks now but today the spirit so moved me to join. I'm a hard core, undisputed 4b (and then some); recently did the BIG CHOP (June 5th) and have about 1 - 1.5 inches of growth. I have been keeping my head covered or in braids for the most part till I decide how to manage it, what products to use as my staples, and what styles are feasible for me. I'm trying to avoid being a prod. junkie but everything looks so promising! So 4 months later, I'm still researching but undecided . I'm torn between Aubrey Organics, Aveda's Brilliance line (for corse/textured hair), and now Qhemet (since visiting this site). C\I'm also contemplating a texturizer because I can't imagine any other way to get my hair manageabily soft (with the option of straightening with a flat iron when i get a bit more length) Hope to get some inspiration from this forum. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks!
